you have to be a sick pervert to write lyrics based on gore thematology,
then you are wrong. The basic ingredient is to have a lot of twisted humor.
The interview with Kreas of PROJECT HAVOK it is a proof of that. So if
you want to have a nice time, here is your opportunity...

ME WITH VERY GOOD IMPRESSIONS. SO, I WANT TO KNOW WHEN YOU'VE DECIDED TO
FORM THIS BAND AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY DEATH/GRIND METAL?

Thanks a lot Nick! Ok, Me and Kafros first started
to work on some ideas in summer 2002 and that happened because we wanted
something much more brutal and aggressive than any other thing we had done
by that time! Anyway, a little later the whole thing freezed for a while,
because of our activity with two other bands and we got back together last
autumn (2003), when we put down some new riffs and last March (2004) we
finally gathered for a recording which ended up in the “Severely Damaged”
demo!
2.THE BAND IS CALLED PROJECT HAVOK. SO IS IT A
PROJECT AND IF YES, IS IT SOMETHING YOU LIKE DOING IN YOUR FREE TIME FOR
FAN OR IS IT MORE SERIOUS? DID YOU PLAY IN OTHER BANDS BEFORE FORMING PROJECT
HAVOK? IF YES, WHICH ARE THESE?

Yes, it started as a project-group but right now
you can say that Project Havok is serious and top-priority band for us!
I am a member of Pa.t.h.(Bass, vocals) and Kafros is the singer of Hedon
Cries.
3.NOW, THE LYRICS TALK ABOUT SERIAL KILLERS AND
IN GENERAL HAVE A GORE THEMATOLOGY. WHO IS REPSONSIBLE FOR WRITING THEM
AND WHAT GIVES YOU INSPIRATION?

The ones to blame for the lyrics are Kafros and
our new growler Nick! I really don’t know what the fuck is going on with
these guys! What’s sure about them is that they’re totally brain-damaged,
mentally twisted, sick bastard mother fuckers! Their number has totally
expired and they are so obsessed with women, that they’d rather fuck them
dead!
4.THIS BRUTALITY OF THE HUMAN KIND THAT YOU DESCRIBE
IN YOUR LYRICS ATTRACTS YOU OR DISGUSTS YOU? WHY?

O.K. the key is to see our lyrics from a totally
humoristic point of view! The brutality we describe doesn’t attract or
disgust us (it does both!) and of course it’s not something we support
as a way of living(?), we just think that the distance between “the Tragic”
and “the Ridiculous” is very short! Let’s say we’re just fans of the Grotesque…
5.IF YOU EVER HAD THE CHANCE OF MEETING A SERIAL
KILLER, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ASK HIM? WHICH FAMOUS SERIAL KILLER'S LIFE
IMPRESSED YOU THE MOST AND WHY?

Serial killer? I’ve never been really interested
in a serial killer’s life or character. I admit, these guys have done things,
they could give us lyrics for countless songs, but I think splatter movies
or snuff videos are also an undying source…
6.YOUR SOUND IS INFLUENCED FROM BANDS LIKE CANNIBAL
CORPSE AND CRYPTOSPY. DO YOU AGREE? WHICH OTHER BANDS AND ARTISTS INFLUENCED
YOU?

Cannibal Corpse is definitely an influence and
Cryptopsy is one of the most brutal bands ever, but bands like Suffocation,
Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, Malevolent Creation and as you said Cannibal
Corpse are bands that we simply kill for! We also support grind stuff…
7.PROJECT HAVOK CONSISTS OF 2 PEOPLE ONLY. ARE
YOU A STUDIO BAND ONLY OR DO YOU HAVE PLANS TO FIND OTHER MEMBERS AS WELL
AND PERFORM LIVE?

Me (Kreas) and Kafros are the basic core of the
band but recently 3 more members joined us: Nick-vocals, John-guitar, Tho-drums!
So as you can see our line-up is already complete and we’ve already started
giving some live shows, the 1st one was in Ioannina (17/04/2004)!
8.YOU USE NICKNAMES, SOMETHING THAT IS MAINLY
USED IN BLACK METAL. WHYD DID YOU DO THAT? IS THERE SOMETHING YOU'D LIKE
TO HIDE?

No, except the fact that Kafros has 3 eyes
and 3 teeth and I have 7 testicles no, we’re not trying to hide anything,
we just like the thing with the nicknames. I think they reflect the mood
of our music and so they can make the band’s concept and attitude more
clear!
9.ON THE "SEVERELY DAMAGED" DEMO YOU ALSO HAVE
T2 LIVE REHEARSAL SONGS RECORDED IN THE STUDIO. WHY DID YOU DO THAT? WHO
ARE THE OTHER MUSICIANS THAT HELPED YOU IN THE RECORDING SESSIONS?

When we recorded the demo, we didn’t have a whole
line-up, thus a drummer so we decided to program the drum parts! It’s O.K.
we don’t have a problem with that because with the computer you can have
the best sound and the best performing with the less money! Anyway by the
time we completed our line up and started rehearsing, we thought it would
be a good idea to add some live tracks in the CD in order to give people
a taste of how the band actually works together on stage! Now because you
asked, “severely damaged” is a totally homemade product! The recording
session took place in my house, I played the bass and programmed the drums
and Kafros played the guitars and did the vocals. We also mixed it and
produced it ourselves and I’ve also designed the lay-out…
10.IF YOUR MUSIC WERE AN EMOTION WHAT WOULD IT
BE?IF IT WERE A PAINTING, WHAT WOULD IT SHOW?

Our music would be, and should be, this emotion
that makes you feel so violently excited, that you want to devastate everything
around you and then feel completely exhausted but also so proud of what
you’ve just done! And if it was a painting, it would show a giant steamroller
driving over a city with major speed!
11.WHICH IS, ACCORDING TO YOU, THE BEST AND WHICH
THE WORST PART IN YOUR MUSIC? WHICH IS YOUR TRADEMARK?

There are 2 things that we really enjoy in whole
extreme stuff: the hyper-speed blastbeats and the groovy riffs! So the
basic rule in our music, which I believe is also our trademark, is the
fast and clever interchange between blastbeating and groovy riffs!
12.WHICH IS THE WILDEST DREAM YOU WANT TO MAKE
TRUE THROUGH YOUR MUSIC?

Getting laid with 1000 chicks is a pretty wild
dream but I think I’m in the wrong band! You see, I always wanted to form
the next “New Kids On the Block” but this belly of mine always kept me
away of making my dream come true! Kafros has also the same problem, that’s
why we formed Project Havok! Bu-he-he!
13.IF TIME TRAVEL WAS POSSIBLE, WHICH PERIOD WOULD
YOU LIKE TO VISIT AND WHAT WOULD YOU MISS THE MOST FROM OUR TIMES?

I’d like to visit the prehistoric times when man
was still very young and half-beast, observing its transformation from
a savage being to a civilized(?) individual. Of course I’d miss electricity
and the brutality you can create with it!
