Ruslanas except that
he is member of the pagan/viking metal band owns also and a record label,
ATLANTIDA Productions. With this interview we had to chabce to ask him
about all these. So if you are interested, go on and read this interview,
especially if you have a band contact with Ruslanas...
1.HELLO!FIRST OF ALL I'D LIKE YOU
TO TELL US THE REASON FOR CREATING RAVELNCLAW. IS IT JUST A FUN PROJECT
OR DO YOU WORK SERIOUSLY AND ON PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS?

At first I got proposal from my friend
Alex(HROSSHARSGRANI band)create one track for my compilation...After that
we liked result and had an idea release full album. I can't say that we
are professionals... But we like what we do very much!And I hope that peoples
like RAVENCLAW!
2.YOUR MUSIC BROUGHT TO MY MIND BANDS
LIKE IN THE
WOODS AND BATHORY. DO YOU AGREE?
CAN YOU NAME SOME OF YOUR OTHER INFLUENCES? DO YOU USE ELEMENTS FROM THE
MUSICAL TRADITION OF YOUR COUNTRY, LITHUANIA?

I cant say that we have influences
from other bands...We have our sound I think...We don’t copy other bands.And
our first and second stuff a little different...If first Viking metal(lyrics
about Vikings), second pagan /folk(all lyrics in Lithuanian). No we don’t
choose Lithuanian music motives,because all music create Alex(he live in
Austria).And on second album we have new member DIMO DIMOV(Bulgarian live
in Germany).But possible in next album fans can listen some Lithuanian
music motives.....I have some ideas.....
3.YOU ALSO OWN A RECORD LABEL UNDER
THE NAME ATLANTIDA PRODUCTIONS. WHEN HAVE YOU DECIDED TO CREATE THIS LABEL
AND WHAT CAN YOU OFFER TO THE BANDS?

Yes you are right!I started with ATLANTIDA
releases in 1999!And started release compil. tapes...7 volumes released
and from vol.8 I release on CD(CDR).At this moment collect bands for vol.23!On
vol.1-22 are more than 300 bands! If you interesting in more info can visit

Also
I re-released black metal band EMPTY some years ago... And in 2003 I started
release split releases! PRIMAL DAWN/OUTRAGE, RAVENCLAW / SVARROGH. If peoples

SOLD THE MOST? DO METALLERS BUY COMPILATION CD'S?

Yes. And when I started with compil.
and never thought that in one day I collect bands for vol.23!Im happy that
can help and support for underground! All bands welcome!Can ask more details
for putting track on compil.! I support all kinds of metal,except grind,
core, noise... Each volume(from vol.8) released 1000 copies and spreaded
500-800 copies of those stuffs!
5.ARE YOU PREPARING ANY NEW RELEASES
FROM ATLANTIDA? IF YES, COULD YOU GIVE US SOME INFO ABOUT THEM?

PRIMAL DAWN(DEATH FROM Ireland)split with OUTRAGE(death from Austria) Also
black metal band EMPTY Also split release RAVENCLAW(pagan/folk Lithuania,Austria,Bulgaria)
split with SVARROGH(pagan from Bulgaria) And some more releases will be
out soon!!!!

We can't find connection...The reason
was that I and Alex like history,old times,Vikings....
7.WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE OTHER BAND

If you mean SVARROGH band -I like this
band very much!And DIMO DIMOV play in this band.Also he member of RAVENCLAW
since 2003! Great band with some folk influences!!!

We don’t do that for will be popular....But
what can I say.... Many peoples like our band....Also are peoples ,whose
don’t like our band.You know never will be good for everyone..... Our first
album will be re-release on tape in Portugal.

Yes I released ATLANTIDA IN 98-99...2
ISSUES OUT...But I had some problems,also some poples rip-offed me and
I stopped with my zine...

Of course! I know a lot of about Greece
and other metal scenes! I know about 50 bands form yours country.Bnads
like SEPTIC FLESH,THOU ART LORD,VARATHRON,DARK VISION,WOLFCRY,and much
more! I like Greece bands very much!!!!You have personal sound I think.
11.DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR LIVE SHOWS?
WHAT SHOULD THE METALLERS EXPECT FROM A RAVENCLAW LIVE SHOW? SHARE SOME

I think that it is impossible for our
band...At first we are only 3 members and everyone live in different countries...

I 'm in metal since 85...And if someone
is interested in my releases can contact with me without problem!

I can say only my opinion...Probably
will be a track from the split CD...I think the track about victory (this
album is about one of the biggest battles that Lithuanian soldiers participated...).
If you don’t know-Lithuania is the last pagan country in the world...

I think that the most important word
for me METAL MUSIC... I think that music helps you have many friends around
the world..

I can't understand life without music....Besides
music I like sports very much.I train in body building,play basketball,football....
