Ritual Carnage
To be honest with you this album is the first that I had the chance to hear from Ritual Carnage, the thrash metal power from the Far East. If you like the old school thrash metal, you can buy their album and of course read this interview.

1. First of all congratulations for your latest album. Could you tell us your latest news?
Nothing really new to report on. I know that the band and I are talking about the next release. We are planning to do a "Best Of” with re-recorded songs from the early days. As well as release a couple of new songs which didn't make it on this album, hopefully about 14 songs total if OSMOSE gives us the budget to do it!
2. Inform us by giving us some details concerning the recording sessions of "I, Infidel"?
Well, we only had a 5,000$ budget to record this album which really hurt the mix. We only had 2 days total to mix the album due to the budget. I think the album still sounds great, but I would have liked to focus the mix more on the leads and some of the drum levels. This album was essentially recorded in a live environment which gave it a little more rough-edge.

3. This is your fifth album; can we hear some changes between your last one and the new?

Well, most definitely my vocals. I just kind of got bored with the growling style vocals. We progressed quite greatly with the instrumentals and song writing in respect to our previous releases, but my vocals stayed the same for the most part on all our releases. On this album I was hoping to appeal to a much larger audience. Plus, I think we can establish our identity with these vocals.
4. If I am not mistaken all your albums have been released through Osmose Productions. So, are you satisfied with their help and the promotion they have offered to you so far?
Herve has always been cool to us and supportive. He knows that we have always given our best to him, so he has been supportive. He got us some real cool tours early on in our career and that was quite memorable. Hopefully this album will be our best to date with sales and we can bring everyone another release with a bigger budget!

5. Will you shoot a video clip for the new album?

We have talked about that since our first album, maybe we can arrange a shot when we go to tour Japan in September. Maybe arrange live shots with rehearsed tuff....who knows.
6. Can you tell me some things about the lyrics?
Yes, I always consider the lyrics to be as important as the music. I spent about 6 months writing those lyrics to get them perfect....and intelligent. If you read my lyrics, I think you will find them to be somewhat poetic and philosophical in nature. I am influenced by Edgar Alan Poe, Max Stirner and Nietzsche. I hope that when people read my lyrics that they can understand my mindset and imagine the scenic and graphic nature of my expression. "Twilight Of The All Too Human" is pure worship to Nietzsche. "I, Infidel" is about my view on mainstream centralist thought and religion, it’s actually an onslaught on accepted life.
7. Also please inform us on the artwork of "I, Infidel"…
Well, there was not much thought behind it. I think the art has quite an impact, but we had no decisions on the art. Osmose said here is the art we want you to use and we said OK. Joe Petagno is an awesome artist.
8. By the way why did you choose this title for the album?
We actually had a different title we were planning to us, "Do Not Resuscitate", but when Osmose delivered the artwork to us, we knew that we had to change the title because it clashed with the art. "I, Infidel" definitely fits the art by Joe.
9. Do you have any plans in order to support your newest album?
We always have plans to tour, especially Europe, but they always fall through. We have plans to tour JAPAN in September. Hopefully we can tour Europe in the Fall/Winter....hopefully.
10. Thanks for your time and close the interview as you want!
Thanks to everyone in Greece for there support and if you don't have the album, but you love THRASH....GET THIS ALBUM, Steal it....buy it! Cheers! Danny
