above all they have guts, in order to survive in this sea of madness...
1.FIRST OF ALL POINT OUT THE MOST
IMPORTANT BAND MOMENTS AND INTRODUCE THE LINE UP TO THE READERS...

Ilias: The band was formed in June
2000 by me and Giannis (guitar) in order to get away from all the craziness
that surrounded us at the moment.
-
Nikos: I was offered to play the bass
and our fisrt drummer was Markos (now on Straighthate&Koncave). Although
I think that every moment of the band's life is important, I think that
the recording session was the most important due to the fact that made
us tighter as a unit. The current line up is: Ilias on vocals, Giannis
on guitars/effects, Nikos on bass/effects and Dimitris (being our new member)
on drums.
2.WHY DID YOU NAME THE BAND SUN OF
NOTHING? WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SUGGEST BY SUCH A NAME? ARE YOU
GENERALLY PESSIMISTS OR IS IT A
MONICER USED TO PROVOKE THE LISTENERS?

Nikos:Althought the name was taken
from Electric Wizard, it has a special meaning that suits the concept of
the band perfectrly.
-
Giannis: The Sun gives life to everything
around us and without the sun nothing would exist. Therefore the sun of
nothing is the one that takes away any form of life.

Ilias:...and sets questions for what's
happening around us.
-
Nikos: I can't call ourseves pessimists.
Its just that we have the guts to see things from their real point of view.
3.CONGRATULATIONS (FROM EVERY SINGLE
POINT OF VIEW) FOR THE "VOICES, WORDS, FACES COMPLETE THE DREAM..."! IT'S
A REALLY GREAT WORK INDEED! WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL US A FEW THINGS ABOUT
ITS RECORDING SESSIONS? ARE YOU STILL SATISFIED BY THE FINAL RESULT? IF
YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO CHANGE SOMETHING WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Giannis: During the recording we faced
various problems that had to with the equipment that we used. Finally I
think that we present a very good result-Keeping in mind the above and
the process we followed, its more than satisfying.

Nikos: Yeah, countless crash downs
on the computer of the studio, the burnt out of the hard disk that lead
us loosing ALL of the recordings and finally the ceiling crashing while
I was doing the mixdown! By the way, we didin't use any metronomes, triggers-and
some parts were recorded live.

Ilias:For me the whole experience was
new and I found it very hard. I am sure that by the time I started getting
used to it everyone in the band started hating me.

Nikos: Oh yeah the vocals took like
forever and we still hate him! Unfortunately I am joking haha! Anyway I
don't want to start thinking of any changes as we always examine things
in the timing period that took place.
4.WHERE ARE YOUR LYRICS REFERRING TO?
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO WRITE LYRICS AND WHAT CAN TAKE THE
INSPIRATION AWAY FROM YOU?

Nikos: The lyrics are written by me
and Ilias.

Ilias: The lyrics are about things
of our mind which generally has accepted the fact that its fucking difficult
to believe what you see.

Nikos: They are our personal reflections
on life, but mostly personal experiences. What takes away my ispiration
is phonecalls. I hate phones!
5.THE ALBUM'S TITLE IS LENGTHY BYT
NEVERTHELESS SOUNDS VERY INTERESTING. WHICH IS THE DREAM YOU ARE TALKING
ABOUT AND HOW CAN WORDS, VOICES AND FACES COMPLETE IT?

Nikos: The title is yes lenghty but
suits the mood of the CD perfectly. It's a sentence from some new lyrics
that I was writing when we finished the recordings and Giannis found it
while he was searching for some porno in my computer. The dream is actually
is the general idea, or picture if you like, of a situation and voices,
words, faces give the concept of that situation.By reading the lyrics,
listening to the music you will understand it better.
6.THE FIRST SONG "THANK YOU" IS A PURE
NOISE TRACK. LATELY MANY BANDS POP OUT FROM THAT BRANCH,
HOWEVER, I CAN'T SAY THAT I UNDERSTAND
THE ESSENCE AND THE PURPOSE OF THIS GENRE. COULD YOU HELP ME
PLEASE? WHAT DO YOU FIND INTERESTING
IN NOISE MUSIC?

Giannis: Noise is the only kind of
music nowdays that express absolutely the modern way of life.
7.GENERALLY FROM THE RUMORS I HEAR
AND FROM WHAT I READ ABOUT YOU, EVERY ONE SEEMS TO FACE YOU AS THE
BEST NEXT THING, AS A WAY FOR THE
GREEK METAL SCENE TO MOVE ON AND GET OUT OF THE SWAMP THAT HAS FALLEN ALL
THESE PAST YEARS. DOES THIS INCREASE YOUR ANXIETY? DO YOU THINK YOU ARE
UP TO THE
EXPECTATIONS?

Giannis: I don't care if the Greek
scene would progress or go further. We play music first of all for our
own consumption.

Ilias: I don't think that our dreams
and personal goals can relate to something like this. If we see it that
way as listeners personally I don't have a problem 'cause it's a genuine
reaction.
8.WHAT KIND OF PROCEDURE DO YOU FOLLOW
WHILST COMPOSING MUSIC? DO YOU FOCUS ON A SPECIFIC SENTIMENT OR SITUATION?
AFTER ALL DON'T WE SAY THAT ARTISTS EXPRESS THEMSELVES BETTER AND GET INSPIRATION
WHEN THEY WITNESS PAIN AND WHEN THEY ARE CONFRONTED WITH OBSTACLES IN LIFE?

Giannis: Most of the times somebody
brings some ideas in the studio and each of us adds his piece. The whole
procedure consists of endless jamming and experimentation with us being
ourselves.
9.THE ARTWORK IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT? CAN YOU CLEAR OUT THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE
COVER AND THE LYRICS?

Nikos: The cover was drawn by Giannis
and the rest of the layout was done by Dani of innermost.
-
Giannis: The cover is an idea of Nikos
and it's another sample of loneliness and despair that suits with
with the mood of the band.
10.DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR LIVE SHOWS?
WHAT SHOULD THE FANS EXPECT FROM A SUN OF NOTHING LIVE SHOW?

Giannis: Unfortunately until the mid
2004 nothing as we are all serving our military service. For the time being
we are focused on creating our own rehearsal space and later on our own
recording studio. In our future plans is the release of new material and
some splits.

Nikos: and touring is on the schedule
of course... A typical SON show? Four guys playing as loud and as hard
as possible tearing everything on their way...
11.WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE UNAWARE
OF YOUR MUSIC IN ORDER TO INTRIGUE HIS INTEREST?

Giannis: Just listen to the music and
let them decide by themselves.
12.DO YOU THINK AFTER ALL DEVOURS ITS
CHILDREN (MUSICALLY AND GENERALLY SPEAKING)? DON'T YOU THINK THAT THIGNS
WOULD BE EASIER FOR YOU AND YOUR MUSICAL DIRECTION IF YOU WERE FROM A NORTHERN
COUNTRY PERHAPS?

Giannis:Anywhere else the circumstances
would be way much better.
13.IF YOUR MUSIC WERE AN EMOTION WHAT
WOULD IT BE? IF IT WERE A PAINTING WHAT WOULD IT SHOW?

Ilias: White clouds from the 19the
century that would be mixed with HR Giger's selfdestructive figures or
romantic paintings of Rembrant.
14.DO YOU THINK GOD GOT SO FRIGHTENED
OF WHAT HE CREATED THAT HE MOVED TO HEAVEN TO KEEP SOME DISTANCE FROM HIS
CREATIONS? :)))

Giannis: God is between us laughing
in our face and making fun of us.

Ilias:God got frightened from what
betrayed him so he is looking solutions in used practises.

LIKE TO BE AND WHY?

that's the place for a fly to be.

Giannis:During Roman's Empire decadense
'cause I like orgies.

Ilias: In The Middle Age.

Nikos: Ancient Greece talking with
all the big brains of that period.
17.IF YOU COULD ERASE SOMETHING FROM
THE WORLD WHAT WOULD THIS BE?

Ilias: Those that don't laugh in the
