Twelve Step is one of the
best, most promising and innovative bands I've ever listened to. The guys
that form this band are very talented since in a very short period of time
they have managed to create a sound of their own, a sound that sets them
apart from any scene and any band out there. Read what they told us about

1.HELLO GUYS, YOUR MUSIC IS QUIET ORIGINAL,
BUT I BELIEVE THAT A BIG PART OF THE METALLERS HERE IN GREECE DON'T KNOW

Twelvestep is a six piece band from the city
of Halmstad, Sweden. We were all born and raised in Halmstad, and are between
the ages of 24-28. Starting out as a sideproject in the year 2002, we soon
felt that this was the start of something promising, so we decided to give
all of our energy to this new band, later named Twelvestep. With the mix
of different genres as jazz, metal, hardcore and rock, we soon found our
own sound, that everyone of us could relate to.

2.TWELVE STEP IS AN INTERESTING, YET BIZARRE NAME
FOR A BAND. WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT TO SUGGEST WITH THIS NAME? HOW IS
YOUR BAND NAME CONNECTED TO THE MUSIC?
The band name comes from the twelvestep program
for drug abuse which is a big problem in the city were we live.
3.IN YOUR MUSIC YOU COMBINE MANY GENRES FROM METAL
TO HARDCORE AND JAZZ. HOW EASY OR DIFFICULT IS IT FOR YOU TO DO THAT? HAVE
YOU EVER LEFT A COMPOSITION ASIDE BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT THAT YOU COULDN'T
MIX ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED GENRES?
All band members have different backgrounds
and we always try to mix it in to our songs.
4.TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH, ALTHOUGH I AM MORE INTO
CLASSIC HEAVY METAL, I DISCOVERED IN YOUR MUSIC INFLUENCES FROM BANDS LIKE

5.THE PRODUCTION OF THE DEMO IS VERY GOOD. WHERE
HAVE YOU RECORDED IT AND HOW MUCH DID IT COST YOU? WHICH WAS THE BIGGEST
PROBLEM YOU HAD TO SURPASS DURING THE RECORDINGS OF YOUR NEW DEMO?
We recorded our album at Soundscape studio
in Halmstad with the help of our good friend Sven Svin. The recordings
went smoothly without any big problems during the 5 days it took
us to record "Roots of Anger" with sponsor money from friends.
6.THE TITLE OF YOUR NEW DEMO IS "ROOTS OF ANGER".
WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU MEAN WITH THIS TITLE? WHICH ARE THE ROOTS OF ANGER,
ACCORDING TO YOU? DO YOU FEEL ANGRY WHEN YOU COMPOSE YOUR MUSIC?
You only have to look at TV or just pick up
a newspaper to get in a bad mood and understand the words roots of anger.
Our music is just our way to blow off the steam.
7.OK, NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE LYRICS. WHO IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM? WHAT KIND OF THINGS DO YOU LIKE TO WRITE ABOUT?
Lenne writes the lyrics and they are based
on life experiences.
8.HOW DID YOU DECIDE TO MAKE ALL YOUR SONGS AVAILABLE
THROUGH YOUR SITE? WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE USE OF MP3S? DO THEY HELP
THE BANDS OR NOT AND WHY?
Our goal is to spread our music as much as
possible and the way to do it for the moment is by letting people download
our music from the web.

We have sent our demos to a large amount of
record labels and the response have been very good.we think that it's just
a matter of time before we will have a deal.
11.YOUR MUSIC IS QUIET CLASSIC FOR THOSE THAT
LISTEN TO NU - METAL AND QUIET MODERN FOR THOSE THAT LISTEN TO MORE CLASSIC
STUFF. AREN'T YOU AFRAID THAT THIS MIGHT BE AN OBSTACLE TO YOUR CAREER?
