From the bombay looking up towards the cockpit.  Notice the manual cranks for the landing gear on each side.
From the Waist Gunners Position looking towards the Bomb Bay (forward)  Notice the Ball Turrett under the yellow thing.  One of the B-17's in WWII was shot up and they couldn't get the guy out of there and only one of the landing gear was able to come down.  He died in there upon landing, not in this plane, but one exactly like it.  God Rest His Soul!
The "Sentimental Journey"  I was right there in the nose for take-off.  I made an MPEG Movie of it but I can't upload that onto this site, it is really cool though.
This is where you climb into the plane and then look to the right.  That is the bomb bay and the catwalk through the bomb bay, very, very tight fit.  The crew on the B-17 was 10 men and 1200 lbs.  do the math and try and find any men at 120 lbs  or any women at 120 lbs today.
The bomb bay from the radio mans station, that is Barry's shoulder on the lower right.
