Although not officially a network game, THPS3 gets the award for the first online game on PS2.
THPS3 is a skateboarding game where the object of the game is to do tricks and string them together in combos to get high scores.
Firstly this game is BRILLIANT, it set the standard for the Tony Hawk's games on PS2, there is a massive variety of levels, tricks and skaters.
As you can see by the screenshots to the right the graphics in the game are great and no complaints here.
Once online the game is only 4 players, this means it is not as good as the next 2 installments of the game but was a great pace-setter for all other online games
