Dear Sir,

 

Ours is a Residents Association of B-4 Block of Safdarjung Enclave.

 

A plot of land measuring about 525 sq yards which is situated behind house no. B-4/157 has been lying vacant for the past several decades. The land was earmarked for a primary school. However, its location is such that it is not possible to build a school here, because of its approach & many other factors such as it is wedged between narrow lanes on 3 sides. Moreover, it is located barely 1 yard from cluster of houses on all its four sides.

 

One of the builders had his eyes on this plot & had started occupying its portions, perhaps with the idea of grabbing this land. However, our Association thwarted his efforts by complaining to DDA. DDA then built a wall on all its sides about a year ago.

 

However, the place has become full of fallen leaves of trees. Moreover, some residents throw garbage inside it in the night. It has become an ideal place for breeding of mosquitoes & there have been three cases of dengue fever in the building number B-4/157 lying next to it last year.

 

The building has been lying in disuse for decades. Since, it is not feasible to make a primary school here, we request you to change its land use & convert it into a recreation & social hall for the use of senior citizens etc.
