Form: Definition

HTML forms are used to collect user input, using different types of input elements, such as checkboxes, radio buttons, submit buttons, and more. Forms are used for questionaires, hotel reservations, order forms, data entry and a wide variety of other applications. The form is specified as part of an HTML document, inside the <body> tag. The user fills in the form and then submits it, typically to an HTTP server designated by the form element.

HTML forms are defined by the <form> element:
