Last week of February & nothing much again here.  Aside from continuing to revamp this place, I'm actually still cleaning up my room.  Although I got my things tidied up, I need to organize them properly.  I never actually got the time to sit down to do it.  This place is almost taking into a blog most of the time.

I did mentioned last week that I would try to get Street Fighter IV CE.  My mission failed.  I was way too late since I was working on the day of release.  Getting off at 3PM & killing a hour with my family after that, my chances were zero for both versions.  My order with Amazon is turned to an unknown shipping date.  It was originally stated for February 20, but I guess they either didn't get enough stock or their shipment for the CE hasn't arrived to them even though they have the regular ones in stock.

Now almost all the stores have raised their prices on the game to $69.99 from $59.99.  Too popular I guess.  For now, I can only pray that Amazon will actually get the CE or I'm going to continue hunting at other places & get the regular one if it must come down to it.

In anime news, FUNimation continues to own your anime.  They now got My Bride Is A Mermaid (aka Seto no Hanayome), El Cazador de la Bruja, & Rin ~ Daughters of Mnemosyne (aka Mnemosyne - Mnemonsyne no Musume-tachi).  That company is really in need of our money because of this economy.

Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day this past weekend.  I know I didn't. *sigh*

Not much this week to say due to two reasons.  One. my room was in the process of renovating & I didn't have access to my computer for days.  Two, I'm very upset right now due to seeing some things that I now regret seeing.  I don't want to talk about as it very pisses me off. I may in the future, but I don't see myself doing that.

In anime news, Rightstuf licensed Maria-sama ga Miteru Season 4 to complete their North American lineup on that series.  At Katsucon 2009, FUNimation picks up Bamboo Blade & Dragonaut -the Resonance-.

I hope to pick up Street Fighter IV tomorrow.  I got the Collector's Edition preordered at Amazon.ca for $79.99, which is a good deal here in Canada.  I'm hoping to find a CE copy somewhere tomorrow at that price.  I'm concern that I won't get the game from Amazon as they pull the listing off after I preordered it.  I had a problem in get Crisis Core & Dragoneer's Aria in a quick time from them which made me cancel my pre-orders from them.  I actually this will be the case if I manage to get SFIV in my hands tomorrow.

As for this site's renovations, I hope to get back on track after the physical home renovation is partial done.  I want to clean out my room some more.  Plus, my bitter attitude may be hold this place down.  I really wished that I didn't see what I saw during my cleanup.

This week's update is a bit earlier.  Reason why is because I'm having my room renovated.  It's one of the rooms in my house getting this treatment.  Having the walls painted & getting laminated floors.  Thus, room redesigning & hardly any access to my computer during my days off.  Will be doing two rooms during my days off as I help my parents.  Rooms aren't big, but the problem is moving stuff around as there are lot of it.

In terms of renovations to this site, still moving at a "certain" pace.  Slow & steady pretty much as my time is getting tied up a lot again.  Wish I got more hands or time or something to speed this up.  But to give some tidbits, there will be some removals of some areas & I may need to find more web space as I'm down to 4 something MB of my 15MB here.  It seems CSS takes a lot of space or something.

Since I haven't really done anything here, might write something from my workplace.  It's kind of strange & funny to some.

I was taking a reservation from a caller.  After my greeting, he tells me that he wants to make a reservation & will give me his credit card number.  I stopped him & asked him what date he wants to make a reservation on.  Instead, he starts to give me his credit card number.  I stopped him & repeated myself.  Instead he goes about saying he wants to make a reservation & will give me his credit card number.  I figured the guy didn't hear me & started to raise my voice very loud.  I hate doing that since my loud voice makes me sound like I'm angry when I'm not.  But I was frustrated on taking the reservation though.

The rest of the reservation process was still a pain.  Double checking the check in date lead to him repeating his credit card number.  Asking him for his address made him give me his wife's name.  When I asked for his credit card number, he doesn't respond until after the second or third time of repeating myself.  Telling him his rate & he goes tell me his credit card expiry date.

The worst part was when I asked him if he wanted a confirmation number, he tells me that he doesn't want to have a conversation. When I repeated myself again, he responses the same answer as I hear some woman from the background on his side saying "confirmation" a few times.  When I used reference number instead, he tells me that he doesn't need it as he has his flight confirmed.  It was only until the woman in the background tells him to take the confirmation number & he says to give it to him so his wife can write it down.  I never had taken a reservation this bad in my entire career.  It knocks out the previous one where I had to make a reservation that lasted 16 minutes.

Don't know if next week will be the same as I think my renovating process will take a long time due to outside interference on all family members.

You may remember from my news last week about me attending the Tourism Richmond Service Awards presentation.  Last week, I read the local paper (Richmond News) that was sponsoring the event.  They, of course, had an article (or mini section rather) about the event.

Reading it, there were some things that weren't really true or correct.  One part was mentioning the event being tremendously successful.  From what I've seen, the successful part was the reception.  The awards part was pretty dry.  Of course, this isn't really a valid fact as this is mainly an opinion from me.  But it didn't look very pleasing from the most of the winners & small audience size.

But one thing I can note is how they had guest speaker Kyle Hamilton talking about the tourism industry here growing & the people part of it.  Instead, his speech was more about his Olympic experience in Beijing & references to the sports world.  I didn't recall him talking about the tourism here.  Most of it was how happy he is about how our city will host the 2010 Olympics if any.  Worst part is how the paper had him quoted him saying something that I didn't hear.

Another bad thing is how one winner didn't give his winner's speech.  When asked if he would like to give one, he declined & stated that it wasn't needed.  In the paper, he talked a lot of things there.  I'm not sure if it's from an interview instead, but what was quoted as a lot of things.  I clearly remembered that he didn't want to talk about anything that night.

Anyways going back on track, updates are still at a halt here.  But I'm trying to go at a fast pace with a lot of other things going around me.  I'm actually working a lot of things at once here.  Anime reviews, collectable reviews, & past news archives (by the way, January 2009 is up).  I'm aiming for a completion by March probably at the rate I'm going & the amount of reviews being larger that I thought.
