In legend times,Guinevere was a damsel in distress..let me just break down the story both ignored in movie&legend:
Guinevere was warrior,who became queen by marrying Arthur.
my questions are,did she just marry him to be queen?to be near lancelot?or to gain recognition?
maybe.maybe not.but i believe her love for Lancelot was much more better than her love for Arthur.I should write hate letters to Bruckheimer&all them people for cutting the Lancelot/Guinevere love story out of the picture.They had a beautiful relationship.She isn't a whore,not an adultress,she had an affair with him because she loved him.and that is what mattered to me:)
