A well known genus
that is cleptoparasite on the species of genus Megachile [and earlier
known genus Chalicodoma (now under Megachile)] and Lithurgus.
Iwata (1976: p. 420) reported that the female usually bore through the cell
partition of the host then throws out the host larvae and probably eat host
eggs. Then she reworks the pollen mass and lays an egg on each provision
deposit and, finally closes the entrance with resin or pollen.
