Many species placed under subgenus Hetereucera Tkalcu are distributed in southern-eastern part of Caspian Sea more particularly in Iran, Afghanistan and parts of earlier known USSR have been described by Sitdikov and Pesenko (1988) and Sitdikov (1988); should be further consulted. [Species described by Nurse (1904) in above list probably belong to subgenus Synhalonia Patton (1879: p.473), awaiting taxonomic revision].
