A large number of taxonomic revisions are pending
for the Apidae for the Indian and south east Asian species. Michener (2000:
p.716) refers that seven undescribed Indian species of Tetralonia belong
to subgenus Thygatina Cockerell, 1911 (?). It will be clear when
a complete taxonomic revision of the species will be made based upon studies of the types.
