William Jones was born in Kentucky and married Nancy Lightfoot who was born in 1794 in Kentucky. Nancy died December 5, 1876. Nancy and William had three known children, William Robert, John and Sarah.
William Robert Jones was born September 1826 in Kentucky and married Susannah Lightfoot on July 4, 1849. Susannah was born on September 4, 1830 in Marion County, Indiana. William was a blacksmith and a timber buyer in Madison County. He died April 1, 1907 in Madison County, Indiana. Susannah died March 24, 1918 in Leesburg, Lake County, Florida. William and Susannah are both buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana. William and Susannah had two children, Emeline and Alice Jemima.
Emeline was born on August 3, 1853 and married James Alonzo Minnick on December 23, 1877. James died August 23, 1921 in Leesburg, Lake County, Florida and Emeline died January 20, 1944 in Alexandria, Madison County. James and Emeline are buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana. James and Emeline adopted a little three year old girl after her mother died of tuberculosis. Her name was Rosetta Buchanan, but James and Emeline changed her name to Hallie Dott Minnick. Hallie was born April 16, 1896 in Monroe County, Indiana. She married Bert Wilson Tomlinson on April 29, 1914 in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana.
Hallie and Bert had twelve children. Their daughter Beatrice Merdell married Roscoe Alden Telfer on April 1, 1939.

Richard Lightfoot was Rector of Stoke Bruerne in Northhamptonshire Richard (believed to be originally from London) was ordered a deacon and priest on March 14, 1582 by John, Bishop of Gloucester, and was licensed as preacher on December 11, 1589 by John, Archbishop of Canterbury. He was installed as Rector of Stoke Bruerne, England on 27 April 1601 and was buried there on 28 November, 1625, after serving for 23 years. His tomb is marked by a small plaque bearing the Lightfoot coat of arms and the inscription [in latin]: This tomb was placed here to the memory of Richard Lightfoot, minister of the gospel and rector of this church for twenty three years by J. L., his son and heir. Death quietly and unexpectedly overtook him while feeding his flock by word and deed. His life was short for it was a long mediation on death. Thus he taught others to live and himself to die. He died in the year of our Lord 1625, aged 63 years. Richard married Janes Jones about 1595. She died in 1649 in Stoke Brueron, Northhampton, England.
John Lightfoot, son of Richard and Jane, was born April 9, 1596 in St. Lawrence Parish, London. He was admitted to Lincoln College at Oxford, May 5, 1615 (age 17 years) and was subsequently admitted to Gray's Inn, Middlesex (a prestegious Court and Law School) in June 1617. After completing his studies and apprenticeship there he was appointed a Fellow and Barrister of Gray's Inn, married Elizabeth Phillips (c1620), and practiced law in London until his death in 1648.
The eldest son of John and Elizabeth, John II, and his younger brother Phillip migrated with their families to America c1670. Their descendants would eventually comprise the "Lightfoots of Virginia" whose family members served honorably in the State Legislature, the Church and the Militia. They frequently intermarried with the famous "Lee Family of Virginia" and one such union produced Francis Lightfoot Lee, a member of the Continental Congress from Virginia and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. John II married Elizabeth Tailor about 1648. John II followed attended both Lincoln College and Gray's Inn Law School near London, England (1641-43). But he does not appear to have practiced law for any extensive period apparently leaving the profession and family business to his younger brothers William and Richard. He is identified as a Captain of the Royal Navy operating in the waters of Virginia in 1666 when he lost his ship, and is also believed to have commanded the Covertine of London which returned from a voyage to Virgnia in 1670. He apparently migrated with his family (sons John III and Philip) to America shortly thereafter. On 10 Jun 1670 he was apointed the Auditor General of Virginia to replace Thomas Stegge who had died in office. John II died in 1686 in the West Indies. England - Administration Act Books: On the 7th day of March 1687 here issued a commission to William Lightfoote "Patruo" of John and Philip Lightfot living in parts beyond the seas, sons of John Lightfote widower, who lately died at Surinam in the West Indies, to administer the goods, etc of the said deceased, during the absence and for the use of the said children.
John III was born in 1648 in Middlesex, England. John III and his brother Phillip arrived with their parents in America about 1670. The two boys may have lived with their Uncle Phillip while their father was at sea. John III married Anne Goodrich on December 3, 1681. John and Anne lived in New Kent Co., Virginia (later Orange and then Culpeper Co.) and appears in a variety of colonial records indicating that he was active in civil and military affairs attaining the rank of Colonel in the Army of Virginia. John III died on May 28, 1707 in New Kent, Glouster County, Virginia.
Goodrich Lightfoot was the son of John III and Anne and was born in 1682 in New Kent, Virginia. He married Mary Chew on June 9, 1709. In 1726 he is identified as the Sherrif (appointed 25 Apr 1726), Coroner, and Justice of the Peace of Spottsylvania County. His land was located in that part of Spottsylvania County which became Orange County in 1734 and Culpeper Co. in 1749. He was elected Vestryman of St. Mark's parish in January 1731. He died in April 1738 and Mary died June 17, 1735. From the Virginia Gazette, 14 Jul 1738: Williamsburg, July 14. We hear from Orange County that Col. Goodrich Lightfoot died lately at his house in that County. He went to the Courthouse in good health, was taken ill there, carried home that evening, and not withstanding all possible care of him, he died the next morning.
William Lightfoot, son of Goodrich and Mary, was born in 1720 in New Kent County, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Barrow on March 5, 1745/1746. From Lightfoot papers in College of William and Mary Library: Major William Lightfoot, son of Col. Goodrich and Mary Lightfoot, of Spottsylvia and Orange Counties, VA served as an ensign in the militia during the French and Indian War in 1756 when he "marched against the indians above Winchester" under the command of Colonel George Washington. He also saw service and furnished supplies in the Revolutionary War. As a result of his honorable service he was awarded a land grant in the territory of Kentucky.
John Barrow Lightfoot, son of William and Elizabeth, was born in 1750 in Orange County, Virginia and married Lavina Duncan about 1772. Lavina was born in 1750 in Stafford, Virginia. In the 1790's, John and Lavina moved to Kentucky with many other Lightfoot families. It is recorded that John B. Lightfoot started and taught the first school in Pendleton, Ky. John died in 1825 and Lavina died in 1820 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.
Phillip Lightfoot was born in 1782 in Culpepper County Virginia and and was around 10 years old when he moved with his parents, John and Lavina Lightfoot, to Kentucky. Phillips married Susannah Smith on December 29, 1803. Phillip died on May 5, 1813 at Ft Miegs, Ohio in hostile action in the War of 1812.
John Lafayette Lightfoot was the oldest son of Phillip and Susannah Lightfoot. John was born in 1809 in Pendleton County, Kentucky. John was only four years old when his father died and he may have been raised by his aunt and uncle, William and Leanna (Colvin) Lightfoot. John maried Rachel Kendall on February 11, 1929. John and his family moved to the area around Fairchild and Humbird, WI around 1865 and then migrated west into Western Minnesota (Cloquet) probably some time in the 1870s. John died on November 13, 1892 and Rachel died May 19, 1900.
John and Rachel's daughter, Susannah, was born September 4, 1830 in Marion County, Indiana and married William Robert Jones on July 4, 1849. Susanna died March 24, 1918 in Leesburg, Lake County, Florida and William died April 1, 1907 in Madison County, Indiana. Susanna and William's daughter, Emeline, was born August 3, 1853 and married James Alonzo Minnick on December 23, 1877. James and Emeline adopted Rosetta Buchanan and renamed her Hallie Dott. Hallie married Bert Tomlinson and their daughter, Beatrice, married Roscoe Telfer.

The Minnick family (Minick, Minich, Menich, Menche) is of German origin and Lutheran faith. George M. Minnick was born about 1745 and died about 1802 in Rockingham County, Virginia.
John Minnick was the son of George and was born in 1767 in Pennsylvania and married Catrina Rader in 1793 in Rockingham County, Virginia. John died about 1853 in Rockingham County.
John and Catrina's son, William, married Nancy Good and soon afterward came to Indiana. They first located in Wayne county on eighty acres of land which was near what was known as Greens Fork. and in the early 1850's they moved to Waltz township, Wabash County. William had a farm near Somerset and he was a German Baptist preacher. Nancy died November 25, 1871 and William died March 11, 1882. They were buried in the German Baptist Cemetery. This cemetery was later moved when the Missessenewa Reservoir was built and combined with other cemeteries to form the Mississenewa Cemetery located on Highway 13 north of Somerset in Wabash County, Indiana.
Anthony Minnick was the oldest son of William and Nancy (Good) Minnick. He was born on December 12, 1827 in Rockingham County, Virginia. He married Phoebe Richwine on February 3, 1850 in Indiana. They purchased 160 acres of land in Duck Creek Township, Madison County, Indiana from the Government at $2.00 per acre. Anthony cleared the land and farmed for almost 30 years. He is recognized as one of the first organizers of Duck Creek Township and served as Supervisor and Assessor for the township. In 1882 he purchased a home in Frankton. Anthony and Phoebe had three sons - James, Joel and William. Anthony died Septemer 11, 1897 and Phoebe died August 3,1910. They are both buried in the Neese Cemetery near between Frankton and Perkinsville. Anthony and Phoebe wills are both at the Madison County Courthouse in Anderson, Indiana.
James Alonzo Minnick was the oldest son of Anthony and Phoebe (Richwine) Minnick. He was born May 17, 1853 and married Emeline Jones on December 23, 1877. James died August 23, 1921 in Leesburg Florida and Emeline died January 20, 1944 in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana. They are both buried in Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. They adopted a daughter about 1892 - Hallie Dott Minnick.
Hallie Dott Minnick was born as Rosetta Buchanan on April 16, 1896. After her mother died of tuberculosis, she was adopted by James and Emeline Minnick. Hallie married Bert Wilson Tomlinson on April 29, 1914 and had twelve children. Hallie wrote a story about her life. She died April 4, 1982 and both Hallie and Bert are buried in Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson. Bert and Hallie's oldest daughter, Beatrice, married Roscoe Telfer.

Johan Georg Reichwein was born in Germany about 1723. He arrived at the port of Philadelphia on the ship "Elizabeth" in September 1751. He married Susannah Weckerlin on June 30, 1754 by Rev. John Conrad Steiner at Germantown Reformed Church now Market Square Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia. George and Susanna moved to New Design, now a part of New Holland, in Earl Township, Lancaster County, PA. George's will was proved November 5, 1788 and Susanna died after the 1790 census.
Johan and Susanna's son, Jacob, was born August 8, 1767 in Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He married Phoebe Dietz about 1768 in Pennsylvania. About 1800 Jacob moved his family to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Jacob and Phoebe had eight children. Phoebe died two years after the birth of their daughter, Phoebe, in 1813. In 1815 Jacob remarried the widowed Mary Smith and had three more children. During the 1830's Jacob's second wife, Mary, died in Virginia and Jacob moved with his children to Indiana. Jacob was a farmer and a shoemaker. He died in 1835 in Wayne County, Indiana.
Jacob and Susan's son, Joel was born August 5,1805 in Rockingham County, Virginia and married Susan Weaver on January 21, 1828 in Virginia. Susan was born December 25, 1808 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. They came to Indiana and settled near Washington in Wayne County. In addition to farming, Joel engaged in teaming, hauling flour and other commodities to Cincinnati. In 1848 he moved two and a half miles southwest of Frankton, Indiana and farmed until his death in May 1870. He was a New Light preacher. After Joel's death, Susan lived with her daughters and attended the Christian Church at Frankton. Susan died November 10, 1893 In Jackson Township, Madison Co., Indiana. Joel and Susan are buried in the Neese Cemetery near Perkinsville, Indiana.
Joel and Susan's, daughter, Phoebe, was born in 1831 and married Anthony Minnick on February 3, 1850. She died August 3, 1910 in Elwood, Indiana.

James married Sarah Wafford in 1788 and John married Elizabeth Whitworth. John and Elizabeth moved to Honey Creek, Indiana and died at the age of 78 near Middletown, Henry County, Indiana. James and his wife also moved to Indiana in 1832 and settled on a farm southwest of Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana. James died February 12, 1841 in Delaware County, Indiana.
James and Sarah had a son, Enoch who was born in 1793 and John and Elizabeth had a son named Joseph born in 1790. Joseph was a farmer near Honey Creek Indiana and married Susan Smith and had five children. Joseph died in 1863. Enoch married Arminta Bishop and had four sons and eight daughters. He moved to Warrensburg, Missouri where he died at age of 64.
Joseph's son, John Smith Tomlinson, born in 1821 in North Carolina, married Enoch's daughter, Mary Emily Tomlinson. Mary Emily was born October 18, 1820 in Guilford County, North Carolina. They had eleven children. John died on Februay 18, 1891 in Delaware County, Indiana and Mary Emily died on March 27, 1892.
John and Mary Emily's son, Nathan Wilson, was born September 27, 1845 one mile west of Alexandria, Indiana. He married Minerva Caroline Tuttle on July 2, 1865. She died in childbirth on May 20, 1866. Nathan then married Lovina Jane Tuttle on January 22, 1867. They had eleven children and lived in Jay County, Delaware County and Madison County, Indiana. Nathan died November 17, 1921 in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana and Lovina Jane died May 30, 1933. They are both buried in Tomlinson Cemetery, Muncie, Indiana.
Nathan and Lovina's son, Bert Wilson, was born September 29, 1889 in Jay County, Indiana and married Hallie Dott Minnick on April 29, 1914. They lived in Anderson, Indiana, Fruitland Park, Florida, and Alexandria, Indiana. Bert died October 2, 1961 in Anderson, Indiana and Hallie died April 4, 1982 in Anderson. They are both buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana.
Bert and Hallie's daughter, Beatrice married Roscoe Telfer on April 1, 1939 in Alexandria, Indiana.

John S. Tuttle, son of Darlin Tuttle of Rumley, Virginia, was born January 29, 1804 in Clinton County, Ohio. He married Hannah Hale on June 3, 1823. They moved to Delaware County, Indiana in October of 1836. John and Hannah had fourteen children. John died April 4, 1872 in Delaware County and Hannah died April 4, 1873.
John and Hannah's son, Isaiah, was born about 1827 and died January 10, 1857 in Indiana. He married Angeline Heath on February 6, 1849. Isaiah and Angeline lived in Delaware County, Indiana and had four children.
Lovina Jane Tuttle was the oldest child of Isaiah and Angeline Tuttle. She was born December 25, 1849 and married Nathan Wilson Tomlinson on January 22, 1867. They had eleven children and lived in Jay County, Delaware County and Madison County Indiana.
Nathan and Lovina's youngest son was Bert Wilson Tomlinson.
