MARGOT'S LINKS TO  OTHER GREAT MUSICIANS  AND FRIENDS

A great band to dance to.. Check out their new CD "Yarraville Sessions".  Musicians include Andy Baylor, Paul Neuendorf, Rick Dempster & Mike Andrews.  I've had fun playing rub-board with this band at the Rainbow Hotel, Fitzroy, the Lomond Hotel in East Brunswick, and at the Mt. Beauty Music  Muster festival 2002.

And yet another great band who welcomed me to play Rub-board with them. Great music & very entertaining.  Playing at different venues around Melbourne.

A fantastic band from Ballarat, Victoria who play great roots music to dance to.   Their albums Mudsteppin & Steel to Steel  has music of the 1920's & 30's which includes early rural blues & jug band music as well as Cajun, Zydeco Hillbilly Old-timey, Bluegrass, & Gospel. Good friends, and I had fun playing with them at the Apollo Bay Festival 2002.

Salty Dog

Play some great Old-Timey music with Craig Woodward, Matt Ryan & Michael Cameron & others.  Check them out at the Railway Hotel In Nicholson Street, Fitzroy on Friday nights from 9.30pm.

HeadBelly Buzzard

Mic Conway and his band are a sight to see, fun, humour and all the magic of an entertaining band, with lots of jug and junk, including the kitchen sink. Some people would remember the band as Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band. Margot was excited to be invited to play with the band in the Guinness tent at the Maldon Folk Festival in 2003.

MIC CONWAY AND HIS NATIONAL JUNK BAND

An amazing Delta Blues style musician, with great talent and music. Can be heard around Melbourne and often at the Old Bar in Johnson Street, Collingwood. His CD entitled C. W.Stoneking and the Blue Tits, is worth listening to, and when Margot played on rub-board with him at the Old Bar, it became C.W.Stoneking and the silver-tits.

C.W.STONEKING

SUNSHINE

Two great friends, Moana and Leo playing great Bluegrass and country style music with Rob on double bass.
Can be seen playing around Melbourne regularly. Sometimes with Margot on rub-board.

A great fun band with Graeme Fletcher and a bunch of musicians playing bluegrass, blues, country music and fun to dance to.  Margot had fun playing rub-board with them, watch for them around Melbourne.

THE HORNY TOADS

A great dance band with Swing music, also blues, Cajun and country.  Lead by Paul Neuendorf on vocal and guitar, with Dave on guitar, Tony O'Neill on Mandolin, Paul Pyle on Double bass, Peter Sommerville on banjo and Hamish Davidson on fiddle.

ALLEY CATS STRING BAND

Wow--what a great band--Brothers, Hamish and Lachlan Davidson and Josh Grundy make an awesome trio of energetic young players of Bluegrass music.  Winners of various awards and supported by … Grundy.  Hamish and Lachlan both play guitar, Mandolin, Banjo and Fiddle and expert on all and any instruments they pick up..  Hamish on honky- tonk piano is awesome.  A truly awe inspiring group of boys who will go far.
