I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing

“Oh my gosh! It didn’t look this big in the pictures!” a young woman cried out as she walked around a half-empty house.
“Oh ‘Taka!” she said, running to the man she was with, and throwing her arms around him. “It’s a beautiful house. I love it!”
“And I love you,” he smiled and kissed her cheek. “We’ll finish unpacking in the morning, okay? It’s getting late.”
“Okay,” she yawned.
“Come on,” the man replied, and, picking her up, and proceeded to carry her up the stairs.

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping

I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure

Entering a room, he placed her down on the bed that was the only object in the room.
She curled up on the blankets that were folded neatly on the bed.
The man laughed gently. “Nadesico, we can’t sleep without blankets. We’ll freeze!”
Sitting up, she eyed him playfully, a smile on her lips. “I know how we can stay warm.”
He sat down next to her. “You’re probably to tired to do anything but sleep, hmm?”
Yawning again, she smiled and nodded.

Not bothering to change, they quickly unfolded the blankets and pulled them spreads them over the bed.
Nadesico moved closer to her new husband. “Aa, Fujitaka, you’re the best husband a woman could ever want.”
Fujitaka smiled and put an arm around his wife.
“And you’re the best wife a man could ever want.”

Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if it's me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we're together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever

Exhausted from all the excitement of the day, Nadesico soon fell asleep.
Fujitaka admired how she looked when sleeping. She looked almost like an innocent child, her hair flowing around everywhere, and the cutest half-smile on her dreaming face.
But he also like how she looked when awake. Always smiling and laughing like she didn’t have a care in the world. There was some sort of aura around her that made you happy just to be in he same room as her.

Happier then he had ever been before, Fujitaka almost didn’t want to sleep. He felt like staying awake all night, thinking about how luck he was to have Nadesico lying here in his arms, and listening to her breathe.

I just want to hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time

“Aa, ‘Sico...” he whispered to her as she slept. “You wouldn’t believe how happy I am to have you.”
Realizing that it was impossible to say how much her loved her, he cuddled up against her, and slept, dreaming of Nadesico smiling at him.
