The winning dog Happyrun "Catch-Me-If-You-Can" Zeet enjoyed an extra hour and a half running on Saturday because Professional Handler, Indiana Cross, from The American Beagler came to Canada to handle her favorite dog, but couldn't get the job done at Call-off time. (In other words, Zeet wouldn't come in....AGAIN, proving once more that removing the magnet from the tracking collar before casting the dog really works.)
Saturday evening the beaglers were treated to homecooked meals with all the trimmin's by Mrs. Mays and Mrs. Burke and great hospitality at the May's (Roy and Connie) hunt camp. Entertainment was compliments of Mr. Solly Solomon and his never-ending wit. Solly also whipped up some scrumptious cajun-breaded Northern Pike fillets.
