As early as nineteen eighty, the late parish priest and resident of St. Anne Parish, + Rt. Rev. Msgr. Augurio L. Juta, H.P. envisioned to establish a Catholic School to meet the growing needs of the parishioners and adjoining barrios of Taguig, Metro Manila for their Catholic Religious Formation and education as specified in Canon 804 S1 of the Code of Canon Law. So in April 1980, Msgr. Juta sought the assistance of + Rev. Mother Ma. Josefina C. Yamson, RVM, also a resident of Taguig then Superior General of the Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary to manage the Sta. Ana Parochial School (SAPS).

In June of the same year, Preparatory courses of Nursery and Kindergarten were opened simultaneously for boys and girls with Sis. Ma. Josefa C. Campos, RVM as the Pioneer teacher. Then, on January 20, 1981 the Department of Education, Culture and Sports likewise granted SAPS the permit to operate from Nursery, Kindergarten and Grade One.

During the second year of the school's operation, two sisters, aided by one lay teacher took charge of the Christian Formation for the kids.

Due to the DECS increasing demands from private educational institution, Sta. Ana Parochial School had to surmount many problems to meet the needs of such an infant institution. To answer those needs, the director sought the assistance and support from a mandated organization, the Manila Archdiocesan and Parochial Schools Association (MAPSA), in January 1982.

Its membership truly facilitated its work of entering into a formal contract with the Roman Catholic Archbishops of Manila and the Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary in matters of school management. The former being the owner of the school, is the FIRST PARTY, represented by His Eminence + Jaime Cardinal L. Sin, and the latter, being the SECOND PARTY and who will be the school administrator, was represented by + Rev. Mother Ma. Josefina C.Yamson, RVM, then Superior General of the Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary.

The most significant improvement Sta. Ana Parochial School has ever accomplished was the completion of the two one-storey building along Taguig River in December 1983. The Sister's Residence followed soon which prompted the congregation to form the RVM Sister's Community of Taguig.

Due to its marked accretion in enrolment, three lay teachers were added to the faculty line-up each year. On July 8, 1982, SAPS filed its Article of Incorporation from the Securities and Exchange Commision (SEC) in order to organize its policy making body and by-laws on January 31, 1985.

Unfortunately, on March 19, 1985, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Juta died and the succeeding parish priest and school director Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel Suñga, H.P. took over. He was installed on the twenty fifth of March.

A line-up of qualified grade school teachers as required by DECS gave way for the granting of Government recognition to Sta. Ana Parochial School particularly the Preparatory Courses - Nursery and Kindergarten. The said recognition was given on August 8, 1985. On the 24th of June 1986, recognition was given for the complete Elementary Course.

Persistence in hardwork and involvement of the school personnel for the stability of SAPS gave birth to the Student's Handbook and likewise, the Administrative Faculty and Personnel Handbook which came out in April 1986, upon the approval of the members of the Board of Trustees during its first organizational meeting on November 25, 1985 at the St. Anne Parish Rectory.

The RVM Community which was usually composed of three sisters became four from 1987 to 1988.

The parish community has grown immensely so progress has to come along with it.

Msgr. Suñga, parish priest and director of Sta. Ana Parochial School has broaden his ingenuity to create more room for more youth seeking admission in the school.

Given the go-signal, the dream of opening a secondary course was realized when Msgr. Suñga started to put up a new concrete building to house the High School Department.

Thus, in the latter part of February 1988, a building began to be in place. Blessing was set May 15, 1988 with Bishop Manuel Sobreviñas to bless the new "St. Anne Building." Generous sponsors and all teachers came to attend the blessing.

Sr. Ma. Angelina Fernando, RVM Regional Superior, accompanied by some sisters graced the occasion. The town of Taguig has now a Catholic High School.

First and Second Year High School were opened in June 1988 and was given temporary permit on August 15, 1988. First to Third Year High School obtained permit in September 1989 and full recognition from First to Fourth Year High School was given on December 10, 1991 after a thorough DECS inspection.

Sr. Ma. Auxencia P. Bitangjol, RVM, is the first High School Principal who at the same time is the Principal of the Elementary Department. The enrolment of 870 in 1987-1988 soared to 1,030 in 1988-1989. The teachers increased from twenty two to thirty five.

In 1989-1990, enrolment increased to 1,270. Construction of the building fronting the Church Plaza added four classrooms to accomodate more High School students during the school year 1990-1991. A multi-purpose gymnasium inside the school and the church compound (donated by a very generous benefactor) served for varied activities.

Msgr. Emmanuel V. Suñga, who became Parish Priest of St. Anne, Taguig in March 25, 1985, has change a great physical appearance of the church and school by constructing the St. Anne Building and making renovations, putting up gymnasium and worked towards the approval of St. Anne Parish as the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Anne in August 1989. The task left behind by the former parish priest and director was assumed by + Msgr. Isidro Jose who took over last April 2, 1990 and installed on May 6, 1990 by His Eminence Jaime Cardinal L. Sin.

Year 1990 marked the Tenth Year of existence of SAPS. To celebrate this anniversary, some remarkable activities were held like the Kindergarten Show to help improve its facilities and there were activities to generate funds for the concrete pavement of the school grounds. One thousand three hundred sixty five (1,365) students cooperated very generously with their parents. With Msgr. Jose as Director, a mobile transport was acquired in September 1990 to ease the school administrator and personnel to meet its needs. Sr. Ma. Auxencia P. Bitangjol, RVM, the school principal and the sisters in the RVM Community gave their full support for the improvement of the school. A bunch of thirty-six Fourth Year students who graduated on March 23, 1991 are the first High School Alumni of Sta. Ana Parochial School inducted to the association.

On March 14, 1992, SAPS turned out 135 Kindergarten graduates, March 26, 1992 - 112 Grade Six graduates, March 28, 1992 - 101 Fourth Year High School graduated second batch who passed 100% in the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE).

A new principal in the person of Sr. Ma. Nelly A. Aniñon, RVM assumed into office. This hardworking simple principal was able to squeeze her efforts in maintaining the quality and image of Sta. Ana Parochial School as the pioneer Catholic School in Taguig.

A new priest and school director was installed by His Eminence Jaime Cardinal L. Sin on January 3, 1993 in the person of Rev. Fr. Lucio B. Odiver. After more than a month, he immediately ordered the construction of the three-room building classroom for the Kindergarten.

On June 6, 1993, the New Kindergarten Building beside the Parish Church giving way to more classrooms exclusively for Kindergarten use was blessed by Rev. Fr. Lucio B. Odiver attended by Sr. Ma. Rita Ferraris, RVM, the Regional Superior of Luzon Region and other RVM sisters, guests, faculty, staff and parents.

On August 30 of the same year, 104 Grade Six pupils took the first National Elementary Assessment Test (NEAT) which was held at the Sta. Ana Parochial School as the testing Center for all private Elementary schools in Taguig. With God's help, all 104 Grade Six pupils passed the NEAT and all 142 Fourth Year students who took the NCEE at Taguig Municipal High School successfully passed the said examination - 100%.

Sr. Ma. Jacinta J. Chavez, RVM, assumed principalship of SAPS and enrolment went up to a total of 1,628 from Kindergarten, Grade School to High School Department.

On July 26, 1994 - Feast of Sta. Ana, His Eminence Jaime Cardinal L. Sin installed Rev. Fr. Lucio B. Odiver to the Office of Papal Chaplainship of Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Anne and still the Director/Treasurer. Hence, the parishioner addressed him as Msgr. Lucio B. Odiver.

Both the 106 Grade Six NEAT and 163 Fourth Year NSAT examinees obtained a 100% passing mark. Venues of exams were in Sta. Ana Parochial School and The Fisher Valley Academy, Hagonoy, Taguig, respectively.

It's the 15th year of the Kindergarten Graduation, the 9th year for the Grade Six, and the 5th year for the Fourth Year.

On August 1995, Msgr. Odiver blessed the newly constructed comfort room beside the St. Joachim Building.

The High School Department garnered the Over-All Championship and the Elementary Department got the first Runner-Up award in the "Vox-Juvenum Inter-School Tagisan ng Talino '96" which was held at the Sta. Ana Parochial School on February 4, 1996.

This school year gave way to a new realm of administration. The academic coordinator for each department was phased out but each department has its own principal. For the High School, Sr. Ma. Teresita C. Camartin, RVM was given the task while the Elementary Department was headed by Sr. Ma. Lynda F. Fesalbon, RVM.

Another building was constructed and was blessed by His Eminence Jaime Cardinal L. Sin last July 14, 1997. It consists of the Principal's Office, Faculty Room, Canteen, Medical/Dental Clinic, two comfort rooms for both Faculty and students and boy's quarter.

The building was dedicated in honor of the late Msgr. Augurio Juta, H.P. The dedication and unveiling ceremony was done last March 5, 1998, which coincided with the 13th death anniversary of the founder.

Sr. Ma. Elisa N. Forbes, RVM and Sr. Ma. Milagros S. Sealongo, RVM assumed principalship of the High School and Elementary Departments respectively. Under the supervision of the energetic sisters, the Student Coordinating Council (HS) and the Kiddie Government (Elementary) were organized. Another remarkable achievement for the school year is the launching of the school paper, Vox Veritates. The initial issue was released in the latter part of January 1998.

SAPS therefore commits her educational apostolate in the individual student it educates, to the family, parish and civic community of which the student is a citizen and to God, the Alpha and Omega of God's existence.

The School year 1998-1999, also called "The Centennial Year" is totally different to SAPS because a new administration was born.

For the first time, the school entrusted the principalship of the High School and Elementary Department to lay administrators in the person of Mrs. Amparo R. Delute (High School Principal) and Mrs. Milagros E. Fugen (Elementary Principal). Both of them were well-experienced teachers.

The two principals generously supported all the programs and activities of each existing club in the school especially those which enhance the abilities and talents of the students.

This school year is also called "The Jubilee Year" or the year of GOD THE FATHER.

The beginning of the 21st century marks a new start to open the doors of opportunities for SAPS to take in order to improve the next years to come. And it is also in this year that SAPS is now opening its door to college students who want to pursue further studies in the fields of computer technology, technical and vocational courses. The name STA. ANA PAROCHIAL SCHOOL was changed to COLEGIO DE SANTA ANA. The CDSA continues to progress as time moves on, aiming to give higher educational standard to all its students.

After the succes of the 20th Foundation Anniversary of the school, another building was born. It was adjacent to the St. Anne building which houses the Grade 4, 5 and Third Year students. On the 4th floor, the AVR was placed - good enough to accomodate small programs.

Truly, Msgr. Odiver's idea of having a totally different school is unstoppable with the support of the Principal, Mrs. Amparo R. Delute, the faculty and staff as well as the parents.

Enrolment for this school year is the same as of the last year. NO TUITION FEE INCREASE. Renovation of gymnasium was done which serves for varied activities. On the 4th floor of St. Anne building, the roof top, now becomes three clasrooms for the coming Fourth Year Students.

Before the end of February believing that the physical aspect of the school has been achieved, Msgr. Lucio B. Odiver sent his letter of resignation to the Office of the Archbishop.

On March 15, 2002, Rev. Fr. Roy M. Rosales was appointed the new director of Colegio de Santa Ana.

As early as May, the academic council became so busy preparing for the upcoming celebration of the 25th foundation anniversary of the school. Each club presented their Calendar of Activities which focused on the enhancement of students' talents and skills as well as developing camaraderie and unity among themselves.

February 14-20, 2005 was "The Silver Jubilee of Colegio de Santa Ana." It was a week-long celebration which begun by a motorcade followed by a mass. It was celebrated by Bishop San Diego who also did the honor of cutting the ribbon and blessing of the different booths inside the campus. The theme for the occasion, "Ananians: Moving As A Team Towards Excellence for Global Competitiveness" was truly observed by the whole community led by the Fr. Roy M. Rosales and it was also reflected in the exhibits of the different areas.

"A Journey with Lights and Sounds" highlighted the occasion. It was a broadway show which showcased the talents of selected students from elementary and high school department. Another memorable event was the "An Affair to Remember". Former administrators, teachers and staff, successful alumni in their field were invited to grace the affair. Some of them were also given special awards together with the service awardees of the school.

Colegio De Santa Ana has gone a long way and has continued to progress. With its achievements both in academics and non-academics for the past 25 years, it is proven that "CDSA is truly the pride of Taguig."

The school community continues to journey in faith towards God's Kingdom.
