Three miscellaneous ramblings

So I'm at the Meijer in Carmel right? Oh, if you don't have Meijer in your part of the world, it's a superstore. Combination department store/grocery store/gas station, etc. Meijer (the Dutch spelling for "Meyer" and pronounced the same way) is what I believe Super Wal-Marts were created to compete with. Anyway, the Meijer in Carmel has a "Water and Wine" aisle. The sign says "Water, Wine" and that is in fact what is on that aisle. Now the Meijer in Fishers does not have water and wine on the same aisle... So I just can't help thinking it's someone's idea of a Catholic joke...

This was a fun quiz!

You are .swf You are flashy, but lack substance. You like playing, but often you are annoying. Grow up.
Which File Extension are You?

Makes me want to go watch Strong Bad E-mail, but I already have!

How about a travel story? Ok, this one time? In Shanghai? We like went to visit the Jade Buddha Temple? ;-) (this one time? at band camp?) Anyway, this was long, long before I had even an inkling of an interest in Buddhism -- we went as tourists of Chinese culture. It's one of the main things to see in Shanghai. So I'm walking around the peaceful grounds, checking it all out, taking the occasional picture, when suddenly I hear the gong-like banging of what has to be a very large ceremonial drum! Excited, looking to see some "real" Chinese culture, I follow the sound! Hurrying past the temple, nearing the rhythmic, metallic drumming, around the corner, I find... a monk fixing a bucket.

Real Chinese culture is indeed what I found. The world is what the world is. :-)
