Disclaimers and such in part one Things written in *God I'm such a dumbass* denote that annoying little voice in Danae's head... ----------------------------------- Danae tossed and turned in her bed, the earlier events with the General and later her friends going through her mind. She wasn't in love with him. She only had affection for him as a patient. Really. *Then why are you worrying your brains out over him? Get a grip, girl, or you'll never be able to help the man heal.* Sithspit. She hadn't thought about that. The fact that she'd be spending eight to ten hours with him daily, helping him learn to move his healing leg and giving him long baths in the whirlpools. She had to view him objectively. After struggling with her demons, Danae finally slipped into dreamless sleep, dreading that she'd ever taken on this hefty assignment. --------------------------------------------- Obi-Wan wanted five more minutes. He didn't *want* to wake up at the crack of dawn. But, Danae was being persistent, so he finally graced her with a look. Not a nice look, to be sure, but a look nonetheless. "I'm up, I'm up..." He saw she was perfectly dressed, and apparently ready for something painful. "Yeah, I can see that. First things first, I'm going to help you move your leg some." Danae helped him lift it and go through a few motions. He grimaced a bit but held on to his resolve. After an hour, he was crying. "Gods, that hurts. Shit...Danae!" Obi-Wan gritted his teeth, knowing she did it on purpose. Nothing therapeutic could hurt that much. Danae's eyes widened, realizing his pain, and she quickly laid her healing touch on him. "I'm so sorry. I pushed you too far...thought you were ready. Force, how could I be so stupid. Sorry, General. Won't happen again." Obi-Wan mumbled something that she didn't quite hear and she leaned closer to his lips to hear. "What?" she asked. "Obi-Wan. Call me Obi-Wan." Danae was touched. He wanted her to know him on a personal basis, the first step to recovery. Maybe healing the General wouldn't be as hard as she thought. Besides, he was sort of cute in a I-love-to-boss-people kind of way. Maybe she could learn to like him, be his friend. It wasn't like she was throwing herself at his feet or anything. But damn, she wanted to. And that was a problem. Jedi could have relationships, sure, but it wasn't exactly looked upon favorably. Besides, the great Obi-Wan Kenobi wouldn't think a lowly padawan healer like her was worth anything, would he? ------------------ cliffhanger...mua hahahahhaha "Begun, this Clone War has."--Yoda, "Attack of the Clones"
