Review
Now here's a curious place...

Echo's is on Ashley Phosphate Rd., hiding behind a GlassMasters store.  I honestly never knew it was there until Shawnte' and I went to review a couple of bands--but it's a place well worth seeking out!  Echo's is a large, L-shaped bar & restaurant with pool tables, 2002 Golden Tee (apparently a must-have in this area), a big-screen TV, a deck/patio (whatever you want to call it), and the basic flashing beer signs.  It also has a large bar and lots of comfy bar stools.

As far as the performance area--that's a fair size as well.  The bands and musicians actually have space for eqiupment, jumping, and other theatrics.  The crowd is defnitiely interesting--ranging from the 18-year old with a mohawk to the 40-year old regular from down the street.  Echo's is definitely a large, relaxed alternative to many of the venues downtown, and it seems to pull in great music from the Charleston area, and other places in South Carolina.

If you live in the North area, Summerville, Goose Creek--or if you're looking for a new venue--Echo's is actually a nice place to check out.  I have a feeling you'll go back after one trip, so ask ahead and see what bands are playing next--there's sure to be some great music, especially rock and punk!
