	Combine jazz night, delicious desserts, and a full beer, wine, & liquor selection and you get Kaminsky�s Most Excellent Caf�! As a soon-to-be dietitian, I�m not supposed to admit that I go to places like Kaminsky�s. Nevertheless, it�s like my friend Greg once said: "Excess is healthy in moderate amounts." So when I�m in the mood for an excessively decadent dessert, Kaminsky�s is where I go. So, when I heard the Mount Pleasant location has weekly jazz nights, I wasted no time in checking it out. Every Thursday around 8:00pm, you can check out jazz bands like the Wing Walker Trio as you sip your caffeinated beverage of choice and savor one of the elegant selections from the dessert case. The bar also offers a broad selection of alcoholic drinks as well, including "liqueur shakes," which consist of Bailey�s, Kahlua, or Malibu Rum with your favorite milkshake. Need a quick jolt? Try one of the "Charleston jukers" made from chilled espresso, cream, and a flavor combination of your choosing. As far as the desserts go, you can�t make a bad choice. Shawnt� is a big fan of the key lime pie, where as I am partial to the strawberry shortcake and anything with chocolate mousse. If you need more than a fix for your sweet tooth you can dine at TBonz which is connected to both Kaminsky�s locations. (The TBonz in West Ashley also offers an assortment of Kaminsky�s goodies, although there isn�t a separate caf� area.) The atmosphere at both Kaminskys� is relaxed and comfortable. The downtown caf� provides a quiet alcove off the chaos that is Market Street. The Mt Pleasant caf� has a few comfy couches as well as an ornamental bar and antique dessert display case. Both are good places for chatting with friends or just reading a book. I�d recommend the Market Street caf� for people watching, although the Mt. Pleasant Kaminsky�s usually has a bigger dessert selection. The choice is yours!
