	No account of the Charleston music scene would be complete without a detailed description of the Music Farm. The club�s management boasts (and they have every right to) that "The Farm" offers the best in live local, regional, and national music. Big names such as Iggy Pop, The Samples, and They Might Be Giants have brought their talents to The Music Farm. The Farm is also a great place to catch regional and local acts. Shawnt�, Tanya, and I have made many trips there as part of our quest to learn more about the local music scene. At each visit we have found the management and staff very friendly and helpful. The club has a full bar, large stage, and impressive lighting and sound capabilities. There are also a few video games, large screen TVs, and an ATM. The club itself has a warehouse-made-nightclub appearance, but between the full moon painted over the stage, and the round glass windows in the back, this venue has more atmosphere and a greater sense of mystery than other clubs of its kind. One thing you should know about The Farm is that it is mostly standing room only. I once made the mistake of wearing open-toed high heels there, and spent the evening cursing myself for poor choice of foot wear. Another tip is that it pays to get to the shows early since the line sometimes extends from the door around the corner. The Farm attracts different crowds depending on who is playing, and many shows are open to all ages. ("Under 21�s" should expect to pay a slightly higher cover charge). Speaking of cover charge--the cost of tickets will vary. You can get tickets ahead of time though by going to the club during the days M-F, or logging on to etix.com. As I mentioned before, we go to The Farm a lot ourselves--we hope to see you there! -JD
