	Before I actually moved to Charleston, Tommy Condon's was the first bar that I visited. After one night, I knew that this place had to be a Charleston institution. Tommy Condon's serves up a full menu that combines the usual Lowcountry seafood & steaks, along with several traditional Irish dishes. Their beverage selection is awesome, and you'll be glad to know that the Guinness comes complete with the little shamrock on top. Besides it's convenient location, another draw of Tommy Condon's is the patio seating--in addition to the dining room and bar area, there's a deck that is open nearly all year long--and it's a great place to eat, drink, and people watch, especially on the weekends. Now I definitely dig the horseshoe-shaped bar and the ample bathrooms, but my favorite part of Tommy Condon's is the live music--live IRISH music! Steve Carroll and the Bograts are the house favorites, along with Dearg Muin, and assorted other small bands and musicians. Last night, they even had bagpipers performing! And although families and children are always welcome, expect it to be a little more rowdy on the weekends--sing a longs, dancing, and general drunken debauchery may ensue. So..if you're looking for a little touch of Ireland in the South, get a group together and head over to Tommy Condon's for a time you won't forget--well, depending on the number of pints you consume...
