Prayer of saint Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love ;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is discord, union;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
for your mercy and truth's sake.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console
to be understood, as to understand,
to be loved as to love,
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is dying that we are born to eternal life.

Oratio ad angelum Custodem
(
Prayer to One's Guardian Angel)
Amen.
Lead me this day, Lord,
Not only to be of service to others
but to ensure
that I find quiet moments
for myself
and for you
A pure heart create for me, O God,
and give me again the joy of your help
Lord, give me a heart full of affection and compassion.
Grant that I may treat all with the same cheerful love and charity,
readily forgiving those who offend me,
and loving those who hate me.
May my horizon this day, Lord,
not be so foreshortened that I notice little.
Instead, open my eyes
that I may see afar and above
as well as in front and beneath me.
Lead me to keep my life in perspective and balance
and discover that the thread of your presence
is interwoven through the events and people of this day.
"Fail not to offer hospitality to strangers
for thereby some have entertained Angels, unaware"

Hebrews 13.2
Oratio Dominica(The Lord's Prayer)
Pater noster, qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.  Fiat
voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in
terra.  Panem nostrum quotidianum
da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis
debita nostra sicut et nos
dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne mos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo.
Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Given us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespassess as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  Amen
