New Beginnings
My shoulders once slumped,
now hold sturdniess.
A weight lifted, a memory faced.

My heart,
once protected by granite and stone,
now weakened.

Like water, feelings seep through.
once protected by
My eyes, once cold and uncaring,
now shed the pain that had been held,
saved, even relished.

My ears that were once pounding,
can now hear the screams, from my own mouth and mind,
I once chose to ignore.

I now look into the mirror,
to see a face I didn't know.

I now see the confidence,
I thought,
I never had.
Released the tears
I hid.
Realising, the hope of knowing
myself.....
