I grew up in a military family and traveled all around the world. I have lived in South Carolina, Washington, North Dakota, Alabama, Georgia, Spain, Japan, and England. Traveling is a part of my life and I enjoy learning about new cultures and seeing new sights. I have recently moved to North Carolina to be closer to my mom and dad, who retired here four years ago. I have a love of teaching and have always wanted a career in education since I was a little girl.I graduated from Huntingdon College in Motgomery, Alabama in 1997 with an Early Childhood Education degree. I taught first grade for one year in Athens, Ga and six years in Commerce, Ga. While teaching in Georgia I also received a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. This is my second year at Park View and I look forward to getting to know you and your child. In my free time I enjoy exercising, walking, golfing, scrapbooking, reading, watching tv, and spending time with my family. I am a big dog lover and have two dogs. Baxter is a Jack Russell Terrier and Buddy is a mixed breed. I actually got Buddy from a former student and the picture above shows him graduating from Puppy Training Class. My dogs are part of the family and my students will hear me talk about them quite often. |
