Anemhor-Pashen1, prophet of Ptah, god's father, beloved of the god, sm-priest, High Priest of Letopolis, priest of the temples of Memphis, sA-st of the living Apis, master of secrets of the temple of Semenmaat, scribe of the holy books, scribe of the divine seal, head of the priests of Sekhmet, scribe accountable to pharaoh, scribe ... of the temple of Letopolis2; son of Pehemnetjer-Petehoremhab High Priest of Letopolis3 by Nebwadjet4, born on 18 August 1075, died on 24 Pharmouthi year 8 of Ptolemy XII = 1 May 736 father of three daughters, one of whom was a singer at the Temple of Min, and one son, all of unknown name7 by an unknown wife. He is the last known High Priest of Letopolis8.

[2] CCG 31099. J. Quaegebeur, JNES 30 (1971) 239, 267, notes that Anemhor-Pashen is not priest of the cult of Arsinoe II, unlike his father Pehemnetjer-Petehoremhab. He suggests that that priesthood reverted to the High Priests of Memphis on the latter's death. Since it seems to have commanded considerable wealth, and since Anemhor-Pashen was only 10 years old when his father died, this explanation seems very plausible to me. Ý

[5] CCG 31099 gives his age at death as 33 years 9 months and 20 days. The year is inferred from his death year. J. Quaegebeur, JNES 30 (1971) 239, 255 (11), ignoring the date of death, incorrectly gives the year of birth as 106. Ý

[8] Since he was only 33 years old at the time of death his son must have been very young. E.A.E. Reymond, From the Records of a Priestly Family from Memphis 47, speculates that Kha-hapi, a Letopolite priest who was ancestor of the last known High Priests of Memphis, is descended from the line of HPLs. She adduces no evidence for this. Nevertheless, it is not impossible that Anemhor-Pashen is linked to Kha-hapi, who may also be related to Harsiei, the last known priest of the cult of Arsinoe II. Ý
