1936 Chrysler Airflow and Airstream

The Pace car was Packard One-Twenty. Chrysler pulled out its slow-selling Airflow and the more conventional Airstream convertible sedan.

The Race: Louie Meyer took home the checkered flag and the One-Twenty after completing the 500 miles in record speed: 109.069 mph. In doing so, he became Indy first three-time winner.
