A TOBACCO REVIEW FROM A GOOD FRIEND
+

Hi Perry,

I just tried a couple of new tobaccos that might be worth mentioning, maybe even in the Churchwarden!

1. McClelland's Frog Morton: A very dark Latakia blend, but also very soft.It has a fullness to it that is not only satisfying, but you can smoke this stuff all day long.

2. Dunhill Aperitif: A great blend of Virginia, Turkish, Cavendish and Latakia tobaccos. Nice aroma from the Cavendish. The Latakia gives it a full flavor and the rest of the blend imparts a slightly sweet taste with no bite at all. A smooth smoke for after dinner. Goes well with a glass of Merlot.

I buy them from tobaccodirect.com at a fairly good price. A 100 gram tin of Frog Morton is $10.49 and a 50 gram tin of Dunhill Aperitif is $4.99 With shipping it comes to $19.48 total. This sounds like a TV commercial doesn't it?

Oh, well, that's all for now,

Gary

EDITOR'S NOTE

I can personally vouch for the excellence of FROG MORTON. In my opinion it is one of the finest Latakia based mixtures on the market. My friend Gary is not exaggerating when he says you can puff on this stuff all day long. The only prohibition would be price, although the price he quotes from the online source is pretty good. Buy a tin and tell me if this is not the best smoke you have had in a very long time.
