In a Town site called Rainbow City My mother works at the margarita Commissary My Grandpa was a Canal Digger He is an Old Timer and proud of being part Of the construction of the Panama Canal He has a Roosevelt Medal for his service I was a surprise when I came along I was dropped at Gorgas Hospital in Ancon About a year ago or thereabouts My Dad and Mom visited Panama City The Church was having festivities At the Tivoli Hotel So, they say it must of happen there For my Mother talks about another visit But my Father is not too keen on the idea Believe it or not we live on Mango Street But doesn't everybody Hey, I live on the Next Side And I love it there |
