The John Woo Combo
By [C3]FastRex
Every player has their own favorite primary and secondary weapons plus some grenades as a touch up. No doubt I have my own favorites too. But still, I have to put aside my favorites and use some odd-weapons in order to accomplish my objective.
As I said, the
John Woo Combo is widely used in the Terrorists ground. If any one of you watched any of
John Woos movies, most of the main characters carry two handguns and sometimes a
submachine gun to scare people around. It is the same thing in counter-strike. I had to
buy the dual Berettas and the MP5 Navy just to deal major damage while rushing
while
a HE grenade will do the touch up.
The reason why this combo is effective is because both have wonderful accuracy and the Berettas carries the most ammunition in the handguns category. The only major drawbacks are the Berettas horrible reload and both guns share the same kind of bullets. Sometimes I have to consider saving bullets since both guns empties fast. So with that, conservation and efficiency does exist in this situation.
But then to
make things run smoothly, let me show you how this trick is done without getting a lot of
injuries but instead will deal lots of pain. Like for example, in de_dust, I would use
this combo:
HK MP5 Navy ($1500)
96G Elite Dual Berettas ($1000)
HE Grenade ($300)
Kevlar & Helmet ($1000)
+ extra ammo
This combo is
most effective in the dark hallway. Once you have reached the entrance it is best (for me)
to throw the HE grenade to where the CTs are suppose to be. If it works, it should
reduce some 20-40% of their life
more so if they dont wear armor. After that,
I would radio for backup and my friends will taunt, kill, or just scare them for a while.
At the sound of GO! GO! GO!, I would have to say hasta la vista to the good
guys and see you in the next round.
Be alert at all times when doing this act for you will never know who will reach the area first especially the snipers. Expect some casualties for the first few rounds of play because it is not easy to master this combo. Nevertheless, doing this rush job is just the same except you have a lot more bullets! But, what the heck, It is better to kill at least one before you die and let my friends finish the rest. So, happy rushing all you CS freaks!
p.s. Save some money (do some suicide runs) before you buy this combo.
Use the Glock to provide cover fire for your friends.
