The [C3] Professional Counter-Strike Weapons Site
Undisputed Superior Pistol
By: [C3]Bangsta
Reading through other sites and their
analysis on weapons, I seldom remember any articles talking about the handguns. There were
plenty of Sub-Machine Guns, Rifles and basically anything that states "primary"
weapons. So, without further ado, here is something out of the norm and I believe you
dedicated readers will agree
it's about time.
In a game full of high caliber weapons, a simple sidearm can determine survival or death. Even the simple "wolf pack" assaulting is redefined by flash bangs and shooting through objects with rifles. It's not unusual to see a one on one firefight with both sides emptying 30 rounds at each other only to find out both is still alive and kicking. For the more experienced players, they quickly switch to a handgun to finish the job or to make a safe retreat. But which handgun is the overall best?
By overall, I meant accuracy, firepower, rate-of-fire, and general usefulness. The Heckler & Koch Universal Service Pistol .45 Tactical is probably the most balanced handgun in CS. It's accuracy is rivaled to the Five-seveN and the 96G Elites and it's firepower is only second to the deadly Desert Eagle. The rate-of-fire is also fast though that could empty the pistol quite easily. The silencer is also a nice addition to prevent detection from enemy forces. What is the best part about this toy? It's absolutely FREE to those playing on the Counter-Terrorist side! At $500, some Terrorists also opt for this decent pistol.
Name | Firepower | Accuracy | Ammo | Price |
H&K USP 45 | 2nd | 2nd | 12 / 48 | $500 |
Glock 18 | 5th | 6th | 20 / 100 | $400 |
IMI Desert Eagle | 1st | 5th | 7 / 35 | $650 |
Sig P228 | 3rd | 4th | 13 / 52 | $600 |
Beretta 96G Elites | 6th | 1st | 30 / 120 | $1,000 |
FN Five-seveN | 4th | 3rd | 20 / 100 | $750 |
Firepower and accuracy is something that doesn't mix normally. An example would be the AK-47or the MAC-10. Both are powerful but very inaccurate which leaves the user to find ways to prevent recoil rather than killing. The USP is both accurate and powerful which means few who empty their primary weapon will have the chance to leave the battlefield alive. Although the silencer option is seldom used, it is useful when sneaking around or providing cover fire. Being shot by a silenced weapon scares the crap out of terrorists.
Now I know most of you folks are devoted to your own handguns particularly those Desert Eagle users. What I'm trying to get across is to those who have not yet decided. Last thing I want to do is to rip that sidearm that you are so accustomed to. I you're comfortable with it, by all means stick with it and master it. But for those who haven't decided and don't aim like a bot, chances are you'll need every advantage just to turn the tide to your favor. Try out the USP .45 and you'll agree its one of the best weapons in CS.
