USP45.jpg (10714 bytes)Real Name: HK USP (Universal Self-Loading Pistol) Tactical .45
Fake Name: KM .45 Tactical
Manufacturer: Heckler & Koch, Germany
Cost: $500 (Standard Issue for Counter-Terrorists & VIP’s)
Ammo: .45 ACP with 12 in weapon, 48 in reserve
Firepower: 4 (Silenced: 3)
Rate of fire:  4
Accuracy: 4 (Silenced: 3)
Quietness: 2 (Silenced: 5)
Reload Speed: 4
Movement: 5
Secondary: Attach, Detach Silencer.
Designed Range: Close

Background: Heckler & Koch's USP series has been at the forefront of the plastic-framed handgun market in terms of functional technology since its introduction. The USP was designed to compete with the enormously popular Glock in terms of both construction materials and pricing. The USP .45 Tactical was also a basic template for the SOCOM (Special Operations Command) pistol.

Overview: This standard Counter-Terrorist issued weapon is quite flexible in terms of overall use. It fires fast, it’s decently powerful, accurate, and could be silenced. Unfortunately, the 12 round clips empties quickly and the silencer weakens the firepower of this weapon. For a backup weapon, the USP is near perfect for most Counter-Terrorists. Most CT’s agree that they really don’t need to buy another handgun. It carries more bullets than the Desert Eagle which is useful when facing multiple enemies or when you’re spotted while sniping. It performs better than the Sig 228 without the expensive price tag.

User Performance: Because of its small clip, clean shots are a definite must to use this weapon effectively. Fire single shots at medium range to slow down your target so you can move out for your retreat. At close range, rapid fire can be used but remember to keep the crosshair on your target. The silenced feature is a plus on stealth missions but should not be used unless needed because it weakens the gun and distorts its excellent accuracy.

Threat Assessment: Killing a USP user is somewhat difficult especially if the player is a veteran. The only drawback is the clip size. Use some maneuvers to force the opponent to empty his clip without being hit. Once that happens, engage the enemy with guns a blazing to prevent his escape. By the time he finished reloading, he should be dead unless you encounter another enemy.

Tips: At the beginning of the round, shoot one round and reload quickly. After the reload, buy some bullets and watch your reserve ammo turn from 48 to 59. This trick is particularly useful in the first round where you still got enough money to buy body armor. To instantly snap on the silencer, hit the secondary button and quickly switch weapons and switch back. This can also be done on the uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)Colt M4A1 for instant stealth attacks.

Glock18.jpg (31815 bytes)Real Name: Glock 18 Select Fire
Fake Name: 9X19mm Sidearm
Manufacturer: Glock Industries, Austria
Cost: $400 (Standard Issue for Terrorists)
Ammo: 9mm with 20 in weapon, 100 in reserve
Firepower: 2 (burst: 4)
Rate of fire:  3 (burst: 5)
Accuracy: 3 (burst: 2)
Quietness: 3
Reload Speed: 5
Movement: 5
Secondary: 3 Shot Burst Fire toggle
Designed Range: Close

Background: Only Gaston Glock would take a perfectly good design and make it better. The development, design and worldwide acceptance of every Glock model and caliber has received much praise but one have been ignored - the G18. Reason being is because this Glock offers the option of semi and fully-automatic fire and are only available to law enforcement agents. It is a very non-threatening piece of equipment. No bad guy, spectator or news reporter would have a clue until the gun is fired.

Overview: This standard Terrorist sidearm has a major advantage in clip size and the fastest reload of any handgun. Unfortunately, it’s inaccurate, weak and has poor stopping power compared to the USP. The burst fire feature is also virtually useless in most cases. Due to its extreme weakness, most terrorists would dump this handgun right away for something more powerful. It’s large clip is more forgiving when it comes to shooting down a single threat although being too trigger happy could empty the gun and see the target narrowly escaping death. Its inaccuracy makes this gun unusable beyond medium range while the burst fire shots are very inaccurate as well.

User Performance: This is basically a team weapon that can be used to provide cover fire and pinning down enemy targets. If a team sticks and worked together, the first round is a dead giveaway due to sheer overwhelming firepower.

Threat Assessment: Lack of munitions and the enemys moves is all the problems that are preventing you from gaining another kill. The Glock has since improved in damage to become a threat when everyone's primary have emptied.

uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)Tips: Use burst fire only in high lag situations. Too bad it couldn’t go full auto like real life.

eagle.jpg (13096 bytes)Real Name: IMI Desert Eagle
Fake Name: Night Hawk .50C
Manufacturer: Israeli Military Industries, Israel
Cost: $650
Ammo: .50 with 7 in weapon, 35 in reserve
Firepower: 5
Rate of fire: 3
Accuracy: 3
Quietness: 1
Reload Speed: 4
Movement: 5
Secondary: None
Designed Range: Close

Background: The Desert Eagle is a big handgun. With a 6" barrel, the gun measured just 1 1/4" shy of a foot in length. The frame and slide are nothing short of massive, while the grip is a hand-filling 7" in circumference. It's been featured in some 400 to 500 motion pictures and TV films, including Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Eraser" and "The Last Action Hero." Whenever a script calls for a wicked-looking, thoroughly intimidating handgun, the Desert Eagle still gets the nod.

Overview: This giant hand cannon major advantage is its firepower. It can shoot through objects easily allowing the user to flush out any campers hiding around while ripping through their armor. The drawbacks are obviously the price and it’s small clip size of 7 rounds. Because of its firepower, most players assume it could be a good substitute primary but that’s hardly the case. The reason being is it is quite inaccurate unless at close range. But at this range, you could probably drop them before they get the chance to shoot or even aim properly.

User Performance: Three well place shots or one to the head solves the problem that ails you instantly. But because nobody shoots perfectly, its small clip is a major problem to the average user. Those who have good gun control and which have good aim should take a look into this deadly firearm. Its accuracy is decent at close range but beyond this point, it’s not worth the effort.

Threat Assessment: Outgun or outrun the target that uses this weapon. Hiding really won’t do much since it shoots through walls. Dodge the bullets and count it until 7 where he hits empty then it will be your turn to be on the offensive.

uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)Tips: This weapon can shoot through walls or thin objects. Use this to your advantage when in cramped corners or tight spots.

P228.jpg (28910 bytes)Real Name: Sig P228
Fake Name: 228 Compact
Manufacturer: Sig Sauer Arms, Switzerland
Cost: $600
Ammo: .357 with 13 in weapon, 52 in reserve
Firepower: 3
Rate of fire:  3
Accuracy: 4
Quietness: 4
Reload Speed: 4
Movement: 5
Secondary: None
Designed Range: Close

Background: If you are a federal agent, intelligence operative, law enforcement officer or civilian possessing a SIG P228, don't feel shortchanged or under gunned. You're carrying one of the best pistols made. World-class reliable, accurate, ergonomic and easily controllable, you can't get much better. Stick with it, practice often and with realism, and know that this gun will hold up its end of the bargain when you need it to.

Overview: The USP and the P228 debate continues as which gun is better. Although the USP has the option of being silenced, the 228 hold 1 extra bullet in the clip and have 52 rather than 48 in the reserve. However, the USP accuracy is far better at medium range as compared to the P228. Basically, this is the one handgun almost nobody buys. Reason being is it that the USP can deal more damage, has more accuracy, can be silence and is cheaper than the P228. It’s also hard to differentiate this gun between a Glock on the floor since they look very similar. The only major advantage is that the P228 has a large clip and won't conflict your munitions pool.

User Performance: To use this weapon effectively, treat it like a secondary weapon and pick off whoever’s alive after running out of ammo. Its decently large clip allows you to take out more than one enemy as long as they don’t run away and you don’t back off. Be aggressive and don’t hold back with this close range duster.

Threat Assessment: If you are of a good distance, pull back while reloading your primary weapon. By the time it’s loaded, your will have the advantage. If they didn’t retreat or advance, pull out your handgun to finish the job if you’re tired of their presence.

Tips: Terrorists should either pick up this weapon or the USP when the opportunity presents it. This weapon’s .357 rounds is also a plus since it doesn’t interfere with your 9mm Navy or the .45ACP MAC-10. Of course, this advice can be ignored if one owns a pair uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)of Berettas.

96G.jpg (23468 bytes)Real Name: Beretta 96G Elite
Fake Name: .40 Dual Elites
Manufacturer: Beretta Weapons Manufacturing, Italy
Cost: $1,000 (Terrorist Only)
Ammo: 9mm with 30 in weapons, 120 in reserve
Firepower: 1
Rate of fire:  5
Accuracy: 2
Quietness: 2
Reload Speed: 1
Movement: 5
Secondary: None
Designed Range: Close

Background: In a dangerous world, law enforcement professionals need every advantage. Guns that are rugged, reliable and safe…with the potent firepower needed for high-risk encounters. So it wasn’t surprising that the INS (Immigration and Naturalization Services) came to the same conclusion as the U.S. Military: Only a Beretta can handle the job. The new Elite pistol were developed to meet the specific requirements of action shooting, personal defense, and law enforcement agencies

Overview: If it were only one of these, it wouldn’t be a problem. Unfortunately, a pair of these can really do lots of damage on the battlefield. It’s very fast firing and has 30 rounds together allowing terrorist to apply pressure even when everyone's primary is empty. Unfortunately, it also reloads horrifically slow, deals very little damage and it's expensive making the 5 seconds of fame quite risky.

User Performance: Although these guns are even weaker than the Glock, it’s rapid fire, huge ammo capacity, and excellent lightness allows most rush teams to keep the pressure while the other side is still reloading. It also allows a sniper to join the rush team if he wants to switch roles without throwing away his rifle. It’s accuracy looks good until after 6-7 shots. Learn to be extremely aggressive with these guns and you can take out the enemies when they are crumbling under pressure.

Threat Assessment: If you didn’t dodge or pull back, chances are you’re probably dead. A major problem from defending key points from rushers usually comes from these. Make sure someone in your team is not empty otherwise everyone will either lose ground or die a horrible death. These guns are very hard to come by for CT’s since most players drop their primary unless they don’t have one.

Tips: If both primary and these are empty, reload your primary since it’s faster and is more deadly than the Berettas. Common uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)sense applies here so don’t reload your sniper rifle in a close range firefight. Then again, you can always throw away your primary for whatever is on the ground if the scene gets ugly. The funny thing is that the right gun is more powerful than the left.

Real Name: FN Five-seveN
Fake Name: ES Five-Seven
FiveseveN.jpg (3805 bytes)Manufacturer:  Fabrique Nationale, Belgium
Cost: $750 (Counter-Terrorists Only)
Ammo: 5.7mm with 20 in weapon, 100 in reserve
Firepower: 3
Rate of fire: 3
Accuracy: 5
Quietness: 1
Reload Speed: 4
Movement: 5
Secondary: None
Designed Range: Close

Background: In 1935, the FN-made Browning Hi Power was revolutionary. The market quickly adopted this high-capacity 9mm pistol accordingly, and it has since been fielded by over 100 countries. FN's newest contribution the handgun's evolution is named the Five-seveN. This 20-round pistol fires a 5.7mm bullet that will defeat most body armor in military service around the world today. Essentially, the Five-seveN represents a quantum leap forward in the handgun's suitability for close engagements by delivering the type of performance that was previously confined to rifles or carbines.

Overview: The biggest advantage of this needle shooter is it's excellent accuracy. The 20 round clip is not too shabby while the reload time is equal to the other pistols in the market. The drawbacks is that it's not exactly cheap and that it's small bullet can hardly stop anyone in it's tracks. The damage and the rate of fire is somewhat below expectations as well. Just like the P90, it's not for everyone but it could be just right for some.

User Performance: This weapon is basically the sniper pistol. Its excellent accuracy and large 20 round clip can be used apply pressure on the other side or to pin down certain targets. Snipers will definitely welcome a gun which can deal a respectable amount of damage to several targets during a hasty retreat. Use it to scan the area after an initial firefight or to fire off clean shots at a distance.

Threat Assessment: Though it's not really powerful, it's accuracy and large clip can kill so retreat or find cover as this weapon can't shoot through objects. For the bold, get the dual Berettas as it has more bullets and fires much faster than the Five-seveN during a long confrontation. It's reload time is quite fast so expect them to gain ground easily unless you eliminate them first.

Tips: Anybody who love using the P90 would probably have a problem since it eats bullets like no other weapon. The Five-seveN uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)uses the same bullets so this would a big problem for those who intend to use the P90 and the Five-seveN.
