Background: The M3 Super 90 shotgun combines the unique features of the semi-automatic Benelli M1 shotgun with the added flexibility of a manual (pump) action. The M3 can be quickly converted from auto loading to pump action by simply turning a spring-loaded ring located at the end of the forearm. It functions with all standard loads in the "auto" mode, as well as with gas grenades, flares and non-lethal ammunition on the "pump" mode. Like all Super 90 series shotguns, the M3 is designed to operate under the most adverse conditions.

Overview: Power with sacrifice to everything else is what best describe this weapon. Most players wouldn’t use this unless they intent to be up close and personal at their opponent. There are lots of reasons as well; it’s rate of fire and reload are terribly slow. The price is quite steep but at blank range, no weapon delivers such massive firepower and damage in one shot.

User Performance: Hit and run tactics works best with this gun. This is definitely a squad-based weapon because your cover fire actually covers a decently large area. Anyone who is foolish to rush your squad will really hate this gun because of its deadly firepower at close range and it’s excellent stopping power. One good shot can literally kill someone even if it's not a headshot! (provided they don't wear body armor)

Threat Assessment: Simply put, don’t get close because that’s simply an unnecessary risk. If however you do, make to do some fancy moves to dodge the shots. Make sure you are moving to retreat as getting close will only be to their advantage. Knifing them is totally out of the question unless they aren't aware of your presence.

Tips: The reload with this weapon is slow but between loading each shell, you can fire the weapon. Although half of the screen is blocked, the crosshair can still be used. Remember to keep this gun fully loaded and reload whenever the opportunity presents uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)itself. Take good clean shots to deliver maximum damage as missing with this weapon is sure sign of death.

Background: On February 12 1999, the US Army Armaments Research, Development, and Engineering Center awarded a contract to Heckler and Koch, in Sterling, Virginia for a 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun, the new HK/Benelli M4 Super 90 (M4S90) for the US Armed Forces. The M4 S90 is a semi-automatic weapon, fed by a fixed, tubular magazine. Low power "less-than-lethal" ammunition can be manually cycled using the extended bolt handle.

Overview: This rapid firing spray cannon is the choice weapon for rush teams and players who can't take a clean shot. Its powerful 12 gauge shells pins down everyone within the crosshair while the rapid-fire continues to spray damage until it either runs out of shells. Although this weapon is not as powerful as the M3 Super 90, the excellent rate of fire can do more to keep the opposition at bay. Basically, this weapon is extremely deadly up close.

User Performance: Rushing with this weapon is excellent but one just can’t go into the battlefield and expect to eliminate everyone in one swift motion. Learn to control this weapon particularly in the field of recoil where it pushes back quite hard and knowing when to fire. It’s 7 shell magazine runs out quickly so don’t empty this weapon if not necessary. As for teamwork, have a submachine gun user to be your cover since they have more bullets than your shotgun so that they can dust off whatever’s left in case you're empty.

Threat Assessment: At blank range, it is almost certain death so avoid being too close. Force them to empty their small magazine and then quickly move in for the kill. Keep the enemy at medium range where his damage will be lower while you have a range advantage with rifles or submachine gun. Watch out for the M3 shotgun users as their damage output is much higher with the same range distance.

Tips: The shotgun rule of thumb of shooting while reloading also holds true here. Keep this shotgun full of ammo and you’ll make it uparrow.jpg (753 bytes)out alive over and over. Remember never shoot off excess shells because this weapon can empty your reserve quickly.
