Advancements: Collect form for advancements before each pack meeting, purchase
advancements from the Scout Store, organize the advancements according to dens
to be awarded during the pack meetings.
You determine how den leaders get information to you, and you set the
deadlines for input so you can go pick up the awards.
Assistant
Cubmaster: Performs Cubmaster duties if the Cubmaster
is unavailable. Assists Cubmaster in
planning, organizing, and carrying out various functions like camping, Blue and
Gold, etc. Assists the Cubmaster in
presenting achievement awards and other Pack meeting activities.
Cubmaster:
- With the Committee
Chair, den leaders, and other committee members plan Pack activities like
camping, Christmas Parade, Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold dinner.
- Work closely with the
Troop 400 Scoutmaster for coordination of joint events like the Seafood
Festival, cross-over, etc.
- Assist Committee Chair
in recruiting committee members
- Attend Recruitment
Night at the Richmond Hill Schools (one night, once a year)
- Lead Pack meetings
- Keep Den Leaders
informed about upcoming events like leader training, deadlines, meeting
changes, etc.
- Coordinate meeting
locations and times for Pack meetings
- Coordinate special
events like camping, visit to the Yorktown, etc.
- Assist committee
members as required
- Attend leaders meetings
and give status on the Pack.
- This job really only
takes about an hour a week, or two hours for Pack meetings. The better the committee, the less time
it takes.
Committee
Chair:
- Plan and run leader's
meeting
- recruit committee
members
- oversee pack activites
- assist with pack
charter renewal
- supervise finances
- work closely with the
cubmaster
- ensure that all scouts
receive a year-round quality program
- complete training for
the position
Popcorn
Chair: This person only works for a
couple of months each year during the annual popcorn fundraiser.
- Distribute materials to
Den Leaders
- Coordinate pick-up and
distribution of popcorn
- Settle popcorn money
matters between BSA and unit treasurer
Treasurer:
- Maintain the unit bank
accout.
- Ensure money is
available at the Scout Store in our account for purchase of advancements
and other supplies.
- Write and distribute
checks to cover expenses as necessary.
- Attend leaders meetings
- This position takes
only about an hour a month of work.
Webmaster: Maintains the Pack web page. Time varies depending on how drastic you
want to make changes.
