Brian May
Brian Harold May was born on 19th July, 1947 in Hampton.  His father began to teach him ukelele in 1954 and he had piano lessons, and he soon progressed to guitar.  Brian is famous for playing his home-made "Red Special" guitar, which he built as a teenager with his father out of various strange objects, including an old fireplace.  He still plays it to this day!

Brian left school in 1966 with eleven O levels and 4 A levels, and started at Imperial College in London in 1967, gaining a BSc Honours degree in Physics and Maths.  He began work on a doctorate but never completed it, abandoning his ambitions to be an astronomer to concentrate on his music.  He formed his first band, "1984", in 1964, and was later in "Smile", with Roger Taylor and Tim Staffell, before Queen was born.

Brian is 6' 1 and a half" tall, has three children, and married actress Anita Dobson in 2000.  He has long dark brown curly hair, brown eyes with green bits, and wears...umm...clogs!  ("claustrophobic feet".)  Musical likes include The Beatles, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin and The Who.
