Freddie Mercury
"The most important thing, darling, is to live a fabulous life.  As long as it's fabulous, I don't care how long it is."
Faroukh Bulsara was born on 5th September, 1946 in Zanzibar.  He attended boarding school in India in Panchgani, just outside Bombay, where he began to be called Freddie.  He also started piano lessons while there, achieving grade 4 in practical and theory.

Freddie and his family moved to England in 1963, where he attended Isleworth School before progressing to Ealing College of Art, which he left in 1969 with a diploma in Graphic Art and Design.  He joined his first serious band, Ibex, in the same year.

Freddie was 5' 9 and a half" tall, with black hair and dark brown eyes.  He was single, and shared his house with his beloved cats.  He loved opera and ballet, and Aretha Franklin was one of his favourite singers.  Freddie died on 24th November, 1991, at the age of 45.
