Roger Taylor
Roger Meddows Taylor was born on 26th July, 1949 in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.  Roger and his family moved toTruro, Cornwall, in 1957, and he started at the Truro Cathedral School where he joined the choir.  He also learned to play the ukelele, and later guitar.  In 1961, he began to teach himself to play drums.

Roger left school in 1967 with seven O levels and three A levels, and moved to London to attend London Hospital Medical College, where he studied dentistry.  He got bored with this, however, and switched to studying biology at North London Polytechnic, eventually leaving with a BSc in that subject.  He joined Brian May and Tim Staffell in the group "Smile" in 1968.

Roger is 5' 10 and a half" tall, with blond hair and blue eyes.  He is married with five children, and is generally regarded as the most typical "rock 'n' roller" in Queen, having a passion for fast cars.  He likes Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, John Lennon, The Who and Bruce Springsteen.
