my facility is small and definitely not as large as most farms and professional breeders. All tanks are maintained by me only and thus, every fish which leaves the facility is a meticulously selected product of my own breeding. fries are usually grown-out in 4-feet tanks with little filtration in the form of the sponge filter. 2 x 100% water-change is done daily to ensure optimum cleanliness and little or no ammonia and nitrate build-ups. weak and deformed fishes, a part and parcel of hybridisation, are constantly picked out of the growing juveniles and are set free into the local reservoirs, never sold. |

water is filtered through several 0.5 micron-sized carbon filters and is chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals free. to aid the growth of fishes, aloe-vera extracts and Vitamins B & E are added to the water in addition to multi-vitamins and minerals which are fed to the fishes through diet. the fishes are fed with a home-made mixture of prawns, beef, cockles and other ingredients. |

no fish in my facility is enhanced with any delibrance nor unnatural hormones or colouration medications. Traces of asthaxanthin - natural red carotenoid enhancer - is found in the diet of prawns but is in no way excessive nor detrimental to the fishes' health. i believe in the natural attractiveness of fishes, and not the use of unnatural means to 'create' a fish, which might later prove detrimental to the fishes' health. What You See Is What You Get! |
