Spotted..
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
spotted fish are abundantly available to hobbyists today, but spotted fish of quality still command high prices despite its increasing supply.

however, it is with great regret that many home breeders and farms have turned to hormonisation of fishes. undoubtly, it procreates colour radiance in the fish, increasing its spotting and all, but it leaves the fish susceptible to internal organ failures and affects the fertility of the fish too.

am personally intrigued by finely-spotted leopard snakeskins, which otherwise mean random spotting of a fine coari-type spotting. (as seen on right photo)
other than the leopard snakeskin and the leopard, another strain of spotted fish i' currently working on is the Red-Spotted Green (coari). ths species of fish has never yet been out-crossed to any domestic strain other than its own and thus retains very dominant wild traits. selective breeding has led several specimens to be very well spotted, complete with the minute spotting of the Coari Red-Spotted Green. well-spotted RSGs are hard to chance by and are thus always on the demand - for both its aesthetic values and crossing purposes. it's definitely a valuable asset for out-crossing spotted fishes of all kinds as this is the original grandfather strain to the existence of all spotted fishes now.

this lineage i'm currently working on presents a green striation hue, and a light yellow base colour. its irridiscence is absolutely breath-taking!

the RSG0 on the left-photo is currently in its F4 crossing stage, and is still being improved upon.
