1998: January-May

Dar's tour of Guatemala included a visit to Tikal.

Darryl enjoyed Guatemala where he visited Antigua, Lake Atitlan, and Tikal, the Mayan ruins, with friend Eric.
We had a fantastic stay in Santa Fe for a week in March as Dar wowed the annual conference of  The American Association of Medical Colleges. We resided at the
Inn of the Tourquoise Bear.

Besides enjoying the art and ambience of Santa Fe, including the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and the Indian Arts Museum, we also visited spectacular Bandelier National Monument, the Sanctuary of Chimayo, Taos, and several stunning vistas of the Rio Grande.
We are still making plans for Amsterdam  (Read the article)  and  Darryl was  written up in Southern Voice.

For Christmas we flew to Seattle and Yakima   after we made a trip to New Orleans Dec. 6-10 for the SACS Conference.

In Seattle, we stayed at the Edgewater Inn and had a balcony overlooking the Bay.

In April Mom visited us from Savannah for Spring Break.
