When the Correction Pads were designed, it was important that the pads be made to accept the Correction Panels. But what was even more important was that the pads be made to fit a horse's back.
Saddle pads must have ample room at the withers and be contoured. A rider once said that many years ago a very knowledgeable rider watched him tack up his horse using a regular English saddle pad. Like most pads the top line of this pad was straight. This woman marched up to him, grabbed his shirt collar with both hands and pulled his neck towards her. This, she announced for all to hear; is how your horse feels when you use that saddle pad... he said it was a terribly embarrassing moment... but a lesson well learned! |

The saddle pads are constructed of a Cordura outer shell with a cotton underside. Cordura is tough. It is a rip-stop nylon that has exceptional abrasion and scuff resistance. The 100% cotton fabric is preshrunk and brushed. Cotton has excellent moisture-absorbing properties so that the horse's back stays cool and comfortable. It is quilted using a high-density fill. All Correction Pads are pocketed to accommodate Correction Panels. The pads are designed with a contoured top line that is anatomically correct. This reduces pressure on the horse's spine and withers. |
