Thank you to all those who attended this year's AGM, with special guests Mary Binks and Rodney (Jake) Barden. Our best wishes go to Ms. Binks as she resigns her position of Patron to further her involvement in other community endeavours; Mayor Lyn Laycock has graciously agreed to fill this role. The President, Treasurer and Musical Director presented their reports with details of a very eventful year with many successes (and repairs!)

Presentation Night

Many thanks for the great attendance on a rather cold Tuesday night, with special guests Mayor Lynn Laycock, Mary Binks and Rodney 'Jake' Barden, and CDB Life Members S. Hicks, W. Dell and M. Mundy.

The Learners started the evening off by playing a few new tunes, and were then presented with Encouragement Certificates for their efforts. The City of Devonport Brass band then treated the audience with various pieces including the jazz numbers Sweet Gingerbread Man and Sir Duke, the hymn Jesus Loves Me , and our Own Choice for the upcoming State Championships, Oregon .
