ABL – Administration Document
Games are chosen by the group of games on the scheduled days.
Each Team can start no more then 5 players and 1 bench player on your team…if a player goes down then you go with what you got.
Pts. Breakdown: Scoring =1 | Assist = 0.5 | Rebounds = 0.25 | Steals = 0.125 | Blocks = 0.125
Line ups must be put in 2 hrs before the start of the series of games – either by phone, or email. If not your last games line up will automatically placed in for that game.
Home Games get + 5 pts added to their overall score that represents home court advantage is a plus to have in the playoffs.
All moneys will be kept online @ the official ABL site for public view- along with records and other league information. Also a weekly Newsletter with scores will be mailed to those with out a computer upon request.
After teams have been established you can sell your team for what ever you think it is worth, remember it is yours and you are obligated to play in the league the upcoming year or sell to someone that wants to enjoy it (players are kept as long as they are under the teams cap and do not go back into free agency so when you draft, draft for the future.)
Remember there are owners out there that want to take your players and will try to do anything to get them so sign your players to long contracts if possible.
All players must sign for
a minimum of $1
Players can sign for a 1 or 2 yr deals. If you draft Tracy McGrady on draft day
you have the right to sign him to a 1yr deal for $1 but next year he would
become a restricted free agent and another team could try to steal him for $20,
you can match that bid to keep him or let him go and deal with finding another
cheaper player to fill the void. This all happens before draft day the following
year. And currently the team salary cap is $50.
You are allowed 1 Franchised Players – cost is $8 you can change franchise players when another players the contract is up, or renew.(protecting that player with simply $8 per yr or $4 per yr over 2yrs.)
When you sign a player for 2 years you only pay half of the signing price (example – on draft day you sign Shaq for 2 yrs at league minimum $1 you pay $.50 for the first year and $.50 the following year.) Now Shaq would be a free agent and available to get a deal from another team that bid any amount, lets say they bid $18 you must match and sign him for 1 or 2 more yrs at atleast $18 or loose him to that price. So you can re-sign him now for $18 on a 2 yr deal and pay the league $9 which is against the $50 cap the first yr and $9 more the next yr.
The first yr will be easy, but after that teams will have to negotiate these deals with players and owners and also keep the roster price under the cap of $50.
You will get sent information when players become restricted free agents as well as those that are unrestricted and can be picked up for $2
Maximum Players on team roster ….12 players + 2 more that can be put on IR (injured reserve) or Inactive list which you reserve the right to this person but you pay $5 in addition to that players contract just to keep them. This is for those long injuries , that may prevent your player from playing for a yr or two .
