New Babies Are Here!

So after a 1 pm emergency c-section, we welcomed 4 beautiful chunky babies, and one small red female
needing a little extra care. She was the second pup brought out and thought to be deceased at that time.
When she took a very weak breath, everyone at the surgical table jumped and started working especially hard to bring her around.
She was born with no protective amniotic sac around her, and the reason for the discolored discharge.
That was the red flag telling us that we needed to get to the vet. Being 3 days past her due date, with no
contractions, or distress, that tiny female saved the litter.As always, when the rest of her pups came out, the larger 4 looked like they were already 2 weeks old by their size.
The tiny guiding angel, was only half the size of the larger pups.
