Romando
This page is dedicated to my Romando Collection.  For those that collect only the US Muscle line, you may not know what romando are.  You are in for a treat my friends.  Romando are full sized, fully articulated, action figures based upon your favorite M.U.S.C.L.E. men and Kinnikuman characters.  Ranging from just a few inches tall to over a foot.  I started collecting these a few years back and have become obsessed with these figures.  One interesting thing about Romando is that they are still making them today, over 25 years after the original Muscles and Kinkeshi came out.  Not in any particular order please take a minute to check out the coolness that is ROMANDO!!!
Ashura Man
This is one of my favorite Romando (as you will see as the review progresses, I have many favorites).  This figure is average in height standing about eight inches.  This figure came in two different color schemes, I loved the blue one and had to have one.  They just came out with new versions of this figure, I am waiting to pick them up though because i like this version so much.  This figure does not come with any accessories, but makes up for it with its pure coolness.
Kinnikuman
Ahh the hero himself.  They actually have several Romando versions of Kinnikuman but most were sort of boring to me.  I picked this one up because I felt I needed the hero in my collection and this is the only one that did not have a stupid look on his face hahahaha.  Comes with cool battle suit accessory that was used to fight Satan Cross.  He is average in size but the cool accessory makes up for any lost coolness.
Blocken Man
Here we have the evil little nazi himself, Blocken man.  One of the obvious reasons this figure was never sold in the United States as a M.U.S.C.L.E.  is because of the dirty little swastikas on his arms.  This figure played a pretty minor role in the manga and was ripped in half by Ramen man.  He comes with an extra face attachment, and his abdomen stretches and reveals muscle like tissue, in case you wanted to reproduce his death while playing with your Romando.
Kinkotsuman & Iwao
This is the first of the multi-pack Romando I have to share with you.  They made several of them, but I have only picked up a few so far.  I actually really like the look of this figure.  He also comes with a couple pretty neat accessories to include his gun that he shot Terry man with and Iwao's favorite hat.  Sort of hard to see Iwao in the backgroung, but I am trying to keep most of my Romando intact and in their packaging.
The Manriki
One of the more recently released Romando this figure is one of my favorite.  I think Romando did a fantastic coloring job on him.  He is also the first of my Romando displayed here that stands above average height.  This figure is big and stands at about 10 inches tall.  He comes with no accessories, but does have a huge working vice attached to him to make up for it.  The vice can be positioned in front of him as well.
Mixer Taitei
One of the more bizarre characters in the manga this Romando is equally bizarre.  He is a blender, he comes with a see through canister that you can throw items into.  Very odd figure, stands a little taller than average height.  He also comes with a dead dog which you can blend up.  Why you ask?  In the manga he killed a puppy to show how mean he was, I am not exactly sure why he did it, what a meanie.  Wierd.
Akuma Shogun
This figure is awesome.  He stands a couple inches larger than your average size figure.  He also came in a few different paint schemes, but this ruby blood red one is by far the coolest.  His large hands for squeezing the life out of his foes are pretty sweet too.  He comes with a Golden Mask accessory.
Buffalo Man
This figure is one of my favorite characters in the manga, he is equally one of my favorite Romando.  he came in a few different paint schemes, this pale version being one of them.  As you will see below they made a much cooler version of him.  He stands a couple inches taller than your average sized Romando.  He is huge.
Manmosman
Also known as Mammoth man, this figure is incredible.  He towers over your average sized Romando.  He is thicker than most too.  This figure is HUGE!  His arms, hands, and tusks are very massive.  Very very cool figure.  he does not come with any accessories but makes up for it in size.  He also has a poseable trunk.
Terry the Kid (Terry Kenyon)
This figure is my first and only generation 2 Romando.  I will be honest, I sold him.  Partially for my lack of interest for the G2 characters.  There are however, a few G2 figures that I do like, I just have not picked them up yet.  He came with no accessories and sort of lacked in overall coolness compared to other Romando if you ask me.
Benki Man
This figure is one of the more wierd in the Kinnikuman story.  He is equally wierd as a Romando.  He is a Japanese style toilet in case you did not know.  He came with a few interesting accessories to include a balled up blue character (Tile man I believe) and a balled up Kinnikuman that you can place inside him and flush.  He also comes with a turd to put on his head like a hat.  I know its gross hahahaha.  Sort of obscure figure, but cool addition to my collection.
Blocken Jr.
Like his father pictured above, you would not recognize this figure from the US toyline due to his nazi background.  Unlike his father Blocken Jr was a good nazi and one of my favorite characters.  Like many, they made several versions of this Romando, this is by far one of my favorites.  I love the skull and crossbone t-shirt.  The pale skin is a little creepy, but pretty sweet looking too.  He comes with no accessories and stands about average in height.
Buffalo Man
As I mentioned before, I have many favorites and this is one of them.  This version of Buffalo man is so tough and mean looking.  I absolutely love the red skin and the dark colors.  He is so evil looking.  Very large figure standing above the average figures.  He is one tough cookie.  No accessores, but does not need any due to his coolness.
Mr. Carmen
This figure is not bad.  He is average in size and his overall look is not too impressive.  But where he lacks in appearance, he makes up with in accessories.  He has a tomb like thing that can encase his foes, he comes with a straw to suck the life out of his enemies once entombed, and he comes with an extra hand to slap the crap out of his opponent.
Curry Cook
This figure is sort of wierd, just like his character in the manga.  Nothing too extrememly special about him, he is average in height and comes with a accessories to include extra bowls of curry to put on his head, and other stuff.
Junk Man
One of the more interesting characters.  This figure is pretty neat.  Sadly he does not look too cool in his package due to his huge smashing hands.  He would look much more cool in an open display.  He comes with some smashed Robin mask armor.  He is average in size, but his huge smashers add coolness to this figure.
Kenda Man
This figure is pretty sweet.  He is average in height but has a much thicker massive body compared to other average sized figures.  He comes with his cool head attachment which he can swing around and pummel his foes with.
Nakano San
This figure was an addition to a two piece Kinnikuman Romando, I did not want that set so I was happy to be offered this little figure by itself.  I had to open his box to give you a picture of him.  Nothing too special, he stands way below average height because he isn't a wrestler.  Sort of cool addition to the rest of my Romando.
Neptune Man
This figure is awesome.  Another favorite for many reasons.  He is average in height, but thicker than most Romando, he is HUGE!  He also comes with some cool accessories like an extra head, a spiked vest, an extra hand, lightning bolts, and a cape with the faces of masks that he collects from different chojin.  Pretty sweet figure.
The Omega Man
This figure is another that never made it to the States as a M.U.S.C.L.E. I am not sure why.  This was one of my favorite characters, so when they made a Romando version of him recently, I had to pick him up.  Very very cool.  Average in size he comes with an extra hand like attachment that goes on his back.  Easily on of my favorite figures.
Kinnikuman Super Phoenix
This character was one of my favorites as well, but I have to say I was a little dissapointed with his Romando.  His paint scheme is kind of blah.  He is average in size, but does come with some cool accessories.  He comes with a golden mask, a chojin prophecy book, and a bandana.  Pretty cool, but Romando could have done a much better job on this one.
Prism Man
Prism Man is another one of my favorite characters.  His Romando is a little hard to come by.  I actually won this Romando in a contest sponsored by the AKIA.  Prism Man is crystal clear and comes with extra leg and arm attachments.  He is average in size, but above average in coolness.
Screw Kid
Another one of the recently released figures.  They did a pretty good job with Screw Kid.  He is average in height, and comes with extra leg and arm attachments so he can perform his secret move.  I really think they did a good job at painting him.  Pretty sweet figure indeed.
Spring Man
This is a pretty average Romando.  One cool thing about him is he has over a dozen points of articulation to him and he stretches just like a real spring.  When standing normal he is actually a little smaller than average height, but when fully stretched out, he stands at way over a foot long.  Pretty neat indeed.  He came with no accessories, but still pretty cool.
Snigator
Ahh everybody's favorite shape shiftinf reptile guy.  This is another Romando two pack.  Although the same character, he comes in two different forms.  A repitilian alligator form and the famous "claw" form.  The figure in the front is pretty cool looking, but I have to be honest, I was a little dissapointed in the claw.  Still pretty cool character to have.  Aside from the two figures this item has no accessories and both stand at about average height.
Sunshine
Sunshine is on many Romando collector's wish list.  He is a fan favorite due to his size.  He stands well over a foot tall.  Very very huge.  This guy is a monster with huge hands to smash his opponents.  He also comes with the roller chest piece to smash his foes.  He also comes with a chest plate to hide the rollers.  This is one of my favorite Romando.  He came in a few different paint schemes as well, I have always liked this shiny gold version.
Warsman
Although one of my favorite characters, this Romando is near the bottom of my favorites list.  The reason fro that is they made several versions of him (like others) and I bought this one too fast.  The other versions of him are much cooler.  This figure does not look bad, but with the lack of accessories that the other Warsman figures have, he is kind of cheesy.  I plan on replacing him with another version, but I prefer to fill empty spots in my Romando collection first.
Rikishiman
Also known by Wolfman this character was walways one of my favorites.  I always like his blank creepy stare and his sumo background.  This figure is pretty plain, he comes with no accessories and is average sized, but still a must have for my collection.
Kinnikuman Soldier
This figure is pretty decent.  He looks good and comes with a handful of accessories.  He comes with a team flag, an extra head, and a bandana.  He is average in size.
Kinnikuman Zebra
Zebra man is probably my favorite of all Romando.  This figure is just sweet.  He came in a few different paint schemes and the dark (evil) Zebra man one is by far the coolest.  What is also really cool about this figure is the butt ton of accessories he comes with.  he comes with an extra head, a medalian, and spike which he wore under his mask, two solid balls which he used to make his punches more powerful, and possibly the coolest of extras is an attachment you put on his feet so that he can ride his opponents like a surf board just as he did in the manga.  Although average in size this figure is way beyond average in coolness.  One of the best Romando has to offer if you ask me.
There you have it.  My Romando page.  I apologize for the glare on some pictures, but like I mentioned earlier, I like to keep my Romando in thier packages.  I love Romando, I look forward to adding many figures to this part of my collection.

Here is my list of Romando that I wish to be adding soon: Parthenon, Big Body, Robin Mask, Meat.

Here is a list of characters that I wish Romando would make: Goriki, Bibinba, and Puyo Puyo.
Big The Budo
This figure is HUGE, one of the largest Romando made.  He almost equals sunshine in height, but is super thick. Pretty cool looking figure.  He also comes with some sweet extras.  In addition to being one of the hugest dudes around, he comes with three additional very sweet heads and what appears to be some armor. Very very cool and great addition to my collection.
The Mountain
Well, if there is one Romando that could match the above figure in size, it may be this guy.  Although he does not stand much taller than your average Romando, the Mountain is thick.  Very very huge, his circumference is actually larger then Big the Budo.  Pretty cool looking, his eyes are creepy.  He comes with no extras, but is cool enough by himself.
Mongol Man
Mongol Man is pretty sweet.  I am working on getting some of the original characters added to my Romando collection, so Mongol Man (Ramen man in disguise) was a desired piece.  Pretty cool looking, I am really pleased with this figure.  Average in size and has an awesome paint job.  He also comes with some very cool accessories, he has some armor, and he also has an extra set of armor for his tag team partner Buffalo Man!  Even cooler though is the extra horns designed to fit on the Buffalo Man Romando figure.  Simply awesome.
Canadian Man and Special Man
This set is known as the "Big Bombers" set.  This particular box is missing its sticker on the front.  Its ok, it saved me a killing on the price.  When I first found out about this Romando set, I knew I had to have it.  Wierd thing is, I never liked these figures as muscles, I also never really liked them in the manga, but for some reason this set really impressed me.  I had to have it.  There is an alternate paintjob for this set, but this is the one that I wanted.  Special man is average in height and size, and Canadian man is huge, just a tad bit larger than Buffalo man I would say.  Very cool looking combo.  I actually have a scan of the missing sticker and will be adding it to this box soon.  This cool set sadly has no extras, but with its sheer coolness I am ok with that.
Satan Cross
Wow, finally Satan Cross comes to the romando world.  I think they could not have done a better job at this figure either.  Obviously, I am not the only one that was looking forward to this figure.  In fact, this was such a high demand item that Romando created several different ways to distribute him.  They had one packs, two packs, different paint schemes.  I chose to get the combo pack since the two are always together anyways, I also chose this paintjob because it is easily the cooler of the two.  He is larger than your average size, I would say about buffalo man's size.  In addition to being one of the coolest Romando figures made, Satan Cross also comes with some sweet armor to make him even cooler looking.  Very awesome, one of my new favorites.
Geronimo
Recently added solely due to his low price is Geronimo.  Its actually a pretty cool figure with some cool accessories, he was just not in my really desired list.  His accessories include an extra head, two tomahawks, and a headdress.  Not much more to say about him really.  Cool addition.
Ninja
Recently added solely due to his low price is Ninja.  I have wanted this figure for awhile now, but there was always another Romando that I wanted more.  This figure comes with some pretty cool accessories to include some weapons.  Nice addition to my collection.
