Jeane du Merlot (a.k.a. Joan du Muguet)
Jeane du Merlot is an NPC that has never really directly crossed the paths of the players. She was a sailor aboard the War Eagle, a ship that Charles du Chevalier, captain of the Lightening Brigade of the Musketeers used to pursue the heroes. The ship was blown up by Valliere who had been aboard posing as a Montaigne noble with business in Eisen (a daring and some would say foolish ploy that worked nonetheless...).
When the ship was blown up, Jeane was thrown clear and was miraculously unharmed. Her story starts with A Thunderous Beginning and I will continue to post news of her travels through Theah as they come to me.

NOTE: The reason I am writing about Joan is to show the players that their actions can have resounding effects on the world around them, from the most "inconsequential" NPC to the most vile villain. I continue to strive to make this a "living" world that isn't completely centered around the players (though they do have a huge affect on it...).
