Letter from Sophia to Enrique
My Dearest E,
I hope this letter finds you and your companions well. I humbly apologize for not speaking with you in person, however I will use as an excuse certain obligations that I must fulfill at home. I hope that this missive reaches you before you visit our beleagured nation once again. Either way I hope to speak to you in person when Theus wills it; and I pray He wills it soon. My inquiries in Eisen have been surprisingly successful and I assure you that I do not go home empty-handed; far from it. In fact, though my coffers are now nearly empty the goods that we spoke of are abundant and headed to a new home where they will find their arrival most welcome. In return certain payments and certain promises have been made. The one is as easy as the other if our struggle turns out as it should. I will take up my life at court as soon as a few minor details are taken care of. I expect to receive you there in the near future. There is much that I would discuss with you. Remember that it is not gentelmanly to keep a Lady waiting and your reputation names you a gentleman.Return to
